Went to Sears and they couldn't install them because the front passenger side is off by 2 degrees? If you look at the car, the tire is slightly bent. They couldn't do the alignment there because it could make it worse without the "proper diagnostics". The guy said I must have hit something, but I don't remember anything... maybe a pothole?

Anyways I'm taking it back to the dealer, which is a good family friend and he said he'd look at it.

Is this something, or nothing?

Sounds like your alignment is out by 2 degrees. If they are talking about a toe adjustment, you want to be about 0.20 degrees to be in spec... Big difference. toe is adjusting the angle of the suspension left to right. If you were out 2 degrees, that will chew up the tires in no time. That sounds odd though because i usually only see big work trucks or 95 caravans out that bad.

Should be easily fixed though right?

Easily is relative.... If its a bent part it means easy money for the dealer. Without diagnosing it myself, I would rather not scare you however. Get it checked out and get an estimate. I'm curious as to what the issue is and how much.

Will most alignment shops now what is SPEC for my SPEC B in regards to wheel alignment?

I know the dealer should know too...

The dealer quoted $59 for the four wheel alignment....

Can someone give me the spec numbers for the alignment and I'll check with the report when my car is done...

All tire shops pay for a subscription to an electronic database that contains all allignment settings for all vehicles(Spec B should be included) . When I had new tires put on my 05 I had the same issue. My front right was 2 degrees off, but the car drove straight with no hand and only pulled very slightly while braking. It never any bad vibes or anything while driving. I have never even rubbed a curb let alone slid into one. It may just be from the factory setup settling in. They wouldn't give me the treadwear warranty without an allignment either. However they just did the allignment and all is good. She feels better than ever.:)

If you are going to pay for an alignment why don't you tell the shop exactly what you want and let them get it as close as possible to your desired settings instead of just telling them to put it within specs. Caster isn't adjustable without aftermarket parts, camber you probably want set to as much negative as possible and toe you probably want right at zero. Just my .02

That's what I've heard....thanks for the info....
Having the camber set negative....is that going to lower my mileage on the new tires?

Theoretically if you always drive conservatively it might wear a little more on the inside with negative camber. In reality anyone with a spec b will probably drive agressively enough to lean the tires over during turns which will even out the wear. The most you will be able to dial in is -1 or at most -1.5 degrees camber which isn't enough to cause problems. The stock specs call for a little negative camber anyway.
