I've had my Jazzy aux-in mod for over a year now with mostly no problems. I say mostly because it has started behaving in a strange fashion over the last couple of months.
When I first start up the car, everything is fine. Within about 10 minutes though, I will have sound out of only the driver side speakers. Over the next 30 minutes I will have sound from all speakers or sound from only the driver side speakers at random. If I drive for more the 45 minutes I will start to get static and within a few minutes I will get no audio out at all. The only remedy is to turn the stereo off completely and then turn it back on. If I only turn the stereo off for a few minutes I will get about one minute of use out of the jazzy aux-in. If I leave the stereo off for at least an hour the whole cycle seems to start over.
One thing to note, no other function of the stereo seems to be affected. I can play CDs and listen to the radio as much as I want...it's only the aux-in that is having issues.
I'm wondering if it's a heat issue but I don't know why it would start to do this after a year. Any ideas?
Chris
