View Full Version : 87 Legacy loss of power
I recently bought an 87 Subary Legacy GL. It has a hesitation problem when stepping on the gas. It seems it should have much more power. I recently added fuel injection cleaner and high grade gas, and it seem a little better, but it still lags about half way down on the throttle. Any ideas?

When were the plugs and wires last replaced? Fuel and air filters? I always change them when buying a car as a matter of course so I know when they were done. I've gone through many sets of cheap wires with my old Subarus - they usually last 1-2 yrs tops. Now I use Magnecors.

An 87 legacy? ummmmm.......im kinda sure on this but wasnt the first generation legacy released in japan in 89?
