and also, i dont know where to connect my power on wire.
i was told i could put it through the audio nav fuse?
please i need help immediatly thanks.

sno,
I am assuming you mean subwoofer amp, help follows..........................
Wiring at the radio connector:
12volts (+) blue/red
Ground (-) black
Ignition (+) yellow/red
Illumination (+) purple
Power Antenna (+) yellow/black (tap turn-on here)
LF (+) brown/white
LF (-) green
RF (+) red/yellow
RF (-) white/black
LR (+) white/red (connect to L+ on LOC)
LR (-) red/black (connect to L- on LOC)
RR (+) blue/yellow (connect to R+ on LOC)
RR (-) red/white (connect to R- on LOC)
The line out converter should have four wires, in two pairs, each with a + and a - hook them to these wires (above). Tap don't cut.
Here's a link with complete wiring:

Hope that helps, good luck.

thank you for the help
unfortunaly, we cut the front wires,
but we are putting crimp connectors to fix them.
is this okay, or will it do damage to the radio?

You'll be fine, just be careful.
I am under the assumption that the amplifier is only for a subwoofer, and, that the amp in the deck (HU) is running the speakers.
If so, you must TAP every wire, there would be no "cutting" involved at the radio.

okay, so i just installed it.
and there's only 1 problem...
the subs dont work when i try to play a cd.
but it works when i just play the radio.
does anyone know the problem?

Tap the turn-on to the "ignition" wire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
12volts (+) blue/red
Ground (-) black
Ignition (+) yellow/red <~~~~~~tap turn-on here
Illumination (+) purple
Power Antenna (+) yellow/black
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(sorry, I wasn't 100% in post #2 if the antenna lead was "radio specific", that's why I said "can" and "or" for the turn-on spots) Hope it works for ya.

ah, haha
its gonna be a pain taking everything out again =[
but oh well

Sorry about not being perfectly clear bro. Hey, figure it this way, you'll be better at it the next time. It'll get easier and easier, and you'll find yourself saying "this ain't so bad".
Then you can mod all you like without worry. ;)

its all good.
and thanks for the help.
i just had one more question.
whats the voltage of the HU on the legacy 05?
cause i wanna set the gains correctly

Well............................you have an oddly specific question for someone who isn't, at least, somewhat well versed in this sort of thing.
"whats the voltage of the HU on the legacy 05? cause i wanna set the gains correctly"
That is a rather scientifically savvy question.......................regardless......... ......Unless you have some variety of analytical equiptment (RTA, oscilloscope, etc.) that can discern the gain conversions of voltage etc, then to understand tuning is relatively simple.
Try this:
1. Drop the sub amp gain to zero (with the xover at ~100 hz, I assume your amp has a built in xover?. ignore xover references if not).
2. Tune your LOC to ~3/4 gain (max).
3. Tune your HU to the "bass/mid/treb" and volume that suits your listening preference (no sub).
4. Then introduce the sub, via the gain on the amp, until it distorts slightly.......back off a bit untill distortion is inaudible (this being with the trunk open and the sub ~2ft from your ear.)
5. Sit in the car (trunk closed) and listen..............................
If the sound does not suit you for enough "bass" volume, drop the "bass"on the HU and lower the xover cut-off frequency, then present more sub amp gain.
If the sound does not suit you from an accuracy perspective, then raise the cut-off frequency on the xover and let off of the sub amp gain (if necessary).
Tuning is actually an extremely delicate task when done in the pursuit of "audiophile" results..........................but for just adding a sub, the above should suffice.
Hope it works out..........

okay,
thank you for the help.
i tried it and it sounds great.
but i had another question, (i'm gonna sound dumb)
but what does distortion sound like with subs?
CSTMIZR

Well........ distortion has many faces and forms.
To the human ear most distortion is indicernible, when the levels rise to where they are, then that can be offensive. For each listener that level varies.
For your/this specific situation, I would need to know what kind of sub and enclosure you have to advise you on how distortion would manifest itself. The amplifier make and model would help too, as well as the make of the LOC. All of the components matter in the tuning of a system and their makes do too.
Generally speaking though, distortion "sounds" as if the speaker is no longer reproducing the recording properly and "adding" some sort of sharper and off-tune variation (when its bad you'll know it). It sounds somewhat "fuzzy", rather than smooth. Clean bass tones rely on the pressure generated by the movement of the cone in proper "linear" fashion, distorion doesn't contribute anything good.
Here's a link to some definitions: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GWYA,GWYA:2005-15,GWYA:en&q=define%3a+distortion
Hope that helps........

okay its:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3522_Visonik+VB212PKG+DUAL+Subs+Amplified+Sys tem.html
its pretty bad, but i'm a striving highschool student :)
and when i put my volume to like 20.
the subs hit pretty hard, but the bass is vibrating when it hits.
is this bad?
and also, is it bad to have all my HU control on +6? cause like my stock speakers hit the bass pretty hard now to

OK bro, lets start from square one on the tuning thing..............................
First, drop all of the dials on the amp to their minimum, make sure the x-over is on, and set to LP (low-pass). I am assuming your LOC is tuned below 3/4 gain (if applicable). Also, the type of music you like to play can affect the tune and this is for an '00-'04 or '05-'07 legacy (you never specified your car, will work on others). The sub should be facing the rear of the car.
Radio settings (-5 to +5):
Bass range = -5 to +1
Mid range = -3 to +2
Treb range = 0 to +4
Simple Tuning:
(NO DIAL SHOULD EXCEED 75%)
1. Put in a well-recorded CD of your preferred genre.
2. Set your radio bass/mid/treb all to 0 (center)
3. Bring the volume up to 25-30
4. Adjust the bass/mid/treb to where they are pleasent to the ear (spend some time here with different tracks and find a good average for each tone setting, don't be afraid to go into the negatives if it sounds right)
5. Drop the bass setting down -3 from where it sounded proper w/o the sub (to help protect your interior speakers)
6. Bring the x-over on the amp up to 100Hz (or a bit less than half if it doesn't have numbers)
7. With the radio at your current settings (steps 1-5), slowly introduce the sub amp gain until the subs start to sound as though they're straining or not reproducing the music properly (with the equipment and enclosure you have, distortion should be evident when it comes).
8. Back off of the sub amp gain slightly
9. Sit in the car (trunk and doors closed, windows cracked or open)
10. Listen
11. If the bass volume (thump) is lacking then drop the x-over frequency a bit and raise the gain slightly.................If the snap is what you're missing, then raise the x-over freq. a bit and drop the gain a hair.
12. Repeat 9 & 10
13. Repeat 11.
ETC............................................... .................
When satisfied, try multiple other recordings that embody your listening taste and use the bass/mid/treb to adjust the sound. If you can make the majority sound good then you're done............if not start again at step 1 and use what you learned from the previous attempt to set it all up to your liking. Also, your maximum radio volume should now be 25-30, regardless.
The bass "vibrating" question, sounds like the distortion we talked about, but, I don't know where to start.........................you need to be more specific (from the speakers, panels what?). "Vibrating" is a horribly general term.
Good luck........................

okay, i will try this method of tuning
thanks,
and the vibrating, is from the speakers and from the panels.
and the bass is sometimes static, but i think thats because of my ipod tuner
CSTMIZR

Sounds like you may currently be overdriving the system. The ipod tuner would probably present "static" to all of the music (but I guess just the bass is possible), and the panels may just be rattling against each other (push where it's rattling, if it stops, it's not the actual speakers).
It's extremely difficult for me to tune a system "virtually" (even more so w/o pictures). You'll have to rely on your ears and instincts as to "does this sound right/good" and just be patient, you'll get it.
Try this method and let me know how it goes.

haha okay i know this is a late reponse but
after i got my cd's to work by taping the turn on lead to the ignition wire.
One of my subs doesnt work anymore.
the other one does though.
i think i might have accidently unplugged one of the rca jacks on the LOC,
would this be a cause of that?

That's a possibility. Check all your connections and if it still doesn't work try swapping the speaker wires at the sub amp and see if the other one works instead.
Good Luck
