This GB deal is now CLOSED... existing orders will be processed as promised... no new orders being taken.

BLINDER M-20 XTREME LASER JAMMER AND
ESCORT/PASSPORT 8500 X50
GROUP BUY

Keep in mind that with this post, I am not condoning speeding, and really don't want to get into a big discussion about speeding here on this thread. No one should drive recklessly or in an unsafe manner - Everyone should drive safely. ALWAYS. PERIOD.

There are many reviews on both these products, so I won’t go into a long tirade (like I did last time!) However, for those interested, the following comparison review sites are often recommended:

www.speedzones.com (http://www.speedzones.com/)
www.guysoflidar.com (http://www.guysoflidar.com/)
www.radarroy.com (http://www.radarroy.com/) and his site www.radarbusters.com (http://www.radarbusters.com/)
www.radartest.com (http://www.radartest.com/)Anyway the quick details on the items involved:

(No longer available on this GB) $295 shipped for the Blinder M-20 XTREME Laser Jammer – Not much more to say here! For those interested, a copy of the installation manual can be found here: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/24/921208/M20%20Manual.pdf (http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/24/921208/M20%20Manual.pdf)
(No longer available on this GB) Some people have asked about replacement lenses for the Blinder transceivers. I have not needed one on my car (over 1 year, including a messy winter), but if you are interested, they are $25 a pair, and can be included with the shipment of a unit at no additional charge.
The Escort Passport 8500 X50 Radar/Laser Detector – As I mentioned in the feeler-thread, am not permitted to post the pricing on this on the forum, so please do go ahead and PM me if you are interested.
I can also provide the SmartCords for the X50, for a small additional cost (sorry, again, I can’t talk price on the posts). If purchased with either the Escort (or Blinder), there will be no additional shipping charge. Be sure to tell me if you want the coiled SmartCord, or the straight one.For those interested in more than one item, we can ship a total of three items under the same $15 shipping charge (to the same address, of course.) In other words, for example, up to 2 additional Blinder units can be bought for $280 each.

GROUP BUY DETAILS (and the obligatory “legalese”)

The product(s) will be shipped to each customer directly from the manufacturer, so that there will be no further delays or additional costs by shipping to me first.
The manufacturer(s) will stand behind their warranty, as printed on each box.
The manufacturer(s) will provide customer and warranty support directly to each customer, so this is not some grey-market or other such deal. This way, you also won't have to wait on me for support issues, though I am happy to help in any way I can.
The Escort/Passport SmartCord product is intended to require installation, which will be handled by the purchaser - installation is NOT included. Installation requires basic electrical tools, just like you would need to install a car stereo.
The Blinder Laser Jammer product does require installation, which will be handled by the purchaser - installation is NOT included. Installation requires basic electrical tools, just like you would need to install a car stereo.
Installation of the Blinder Laser Jammer will require mounting the transceivers on the outside of the vehicle, near the front headlights and plates. Proper mounting is critical to optimal operation, so your installation (and hence, performance) may vary, of course. Neither I, nor the manufacturer, will be held liable for improper installation and/or any damage to your vehicle. For those interested, a copy of the installation manual is linked above.
Neither I, nor the manufacturer, make any claims as to the legality of these jammers or detectors, and therefore we cannot be held liable for the use of these jammers or detectors, as the laws are constantly changing and out of our control. It's up to the owner to continue to determine the legality of these devices in their localities. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR STATE LAWS TO DETERMINE IF IT IS LEGAL FOR YOU TO USE EITHER/BOTH OF THESE DEVICES.The fastest method of processing your order will be via a Paypal payment. As soon as I receive payment and shipping information, I will forward your order to the vendor and have them ship it (keep in mind they are only open Monday-Friday.) I will get tracking numbers as quickly as they can provide them to me, and will respond via PM for your order. Of course, if you have any questions or issues during this process, feel free to PM me and I will be sure to respond.

If other payment arrangements are required, we can speak in PM, but it may take longer to get through it, of course.

HOW TO GET IN ON THE DEAL:
So…For those interested in making a purchase, simply send me a PM with how many of which items you want to purchase, and I will reply with the details on how to proceed and a final price in the response.

Thanks for your interest, and hopefully we can make this all go smoothly!

I've sent a PM to everyone I saw who expressed an interest in this deal.
I think I captured everyone who posted and PMed me through the feeler thread.

If you have not received a PM, let me know what you are looking to buy and I will send a reply with the details of pricing and how to complete the purchase.

Incidentally, a short story of my first (recent) experience with the Blinder:
A few weekends ago, I was driving into Boston on the highway, and came up to a left curve with a blind down-grade after it. I was in the left lane with a car next to me. Both of us were going above the posted limit, and certainly in ticketable-territory, but nothing outrageous.

I was prepared to slow down, just in case, as it was a blind corner (remember people, your EYES are the best "detector" of threats out there!) Sure enough, there he was, stopped on the exit/entrance ramp grass-divider. I started to slow down, but then I heard a beep noise. It wasn't as annoying as the radar detector's noises, so at first I wasn't sure what it was. Then I realized it was the Blinder's tone!

I continued to slow down while the beep persisted. It was beeping for about 3 seconds, I guess, before I was slowed to about 60, and then I turned off the Blinider so that he could get a reading. Nevertheless, he never pulled out, and I never got a ticket.

Things to note from this experience:

The Blinder beeped for about 3 seconds, implying that I was being targeted for a little while. This, and the fact that I wasn't ticketed, implies that he wasn't getting a reading during that time. (If he was getting a reading, I have no doubt that my speed was certainly cause for the cop to come after me - I've been pulled over for less.)
The radar detector (Bel 855STi with integrated laser detector) DIDN'T MAKE A PEEP while this was happening. Note that I must have been targetted (or, at least, the car next to me!) and yet I had no warning... not that it would have helped at that point anyway!
I turned off the Blinder after I had slowed down sufficiently.
Most importantly- NO TICKET!!!!:icon_chee

this is a great price for this, if i hadn't boughten the bel rx75 plus a week or so ago, i would have definitely been all over this. to bad you aren't offering a group buy on a fully concealed/integrated unit.

Zanatech: I have read many reviews on the concealed/integrated units, but have always noticed that their sensitivity is rather lacking compared to the dash-top units. For this reason, I often don't recommend them... besides which they cost a lot more and require installation, which can be an additional cost. I have found that installing a dash-top detector in a good location (mine is above the rearview mirror, with the wire hidden in the headliner (or down the A-pillar in other cars) you can get the same overall benefit with much less installation. Also, it's easier to upgrade these if you want to, or remove them when driving in states like Virginia, where they are illegal and the cops are nasty about them.

http://www.radartest.com/article.asp?articleID=7800 has a good article comparing some of the lower priced ones to their previous experience with MUCH more expensive ones. However, they still say there is a lack of features in the Bel, for example. And this is another reason why I stick with the dash-top units... higher price with fewer features. All for what? A good install will be just as good as one of these remote-ones. And, heck, with the Escort's SmartCord, you can install the "indicators" anywhere else that you want, as well...

DogLeggGT - PM Sent... yes, you (and others) can still get in on this deal.

I have just been informed that the Blinder M-20 are no longer available... the last one is now going to ship to EquinnoxX!

So, I will keep this group buy open for the X50s through the end of the weekend, then close it out completely... so if you want an X50, this weekend is your last chance to get in on this deal.
