Don't know if you can get it in the US but I liked Ventisquero Carmenere Reserva

Thanks, I had already left before you guys posted. I picked up a bottle of Casa Lapostolle Merlot.

ok, I just tasted it. I am a bit stuffed up, so I am missing some of the flavor. From what I taste - it's a very soft wine - good sent, good taste, good flavor with a very slight acidic hint to it..

I like Concha Y Toro for a good cheap table wine. You can get a 1.5L for about $10 at the grocery store. Great everyday wine. Any of the blends like Merlot/Cab and the Shiraz blend is nice. Better bottle is the Castillera del Diablo also by Concha y Toro. Still nicely priced for a better bottle.

I paid $13 (w/ tax) for a 750mL bottle. I really enjoyed it. Recommend.

I think the one I mentioned was less than 10 bucks a bottle but that was in Chile...haven't been able to find it here.

Try Agustos if you can find it.

Sauvignon Blanc is a good white, and Concha y Toro sells the 1.5l bottles, I like Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon, it's less than $10 for 750 ml, unless you buy the "reserve" which is more expensive but not a lot better.
