I'm new to this so help is appreciated. I realize that this host is irritating so I'm looking for a new hosting place. Suggestions? I'm not sure if I logged everything I should have. I originally intended to use enginuity but I couldn't get it to work for some reason but the TARI software worked fine. Let me know how it looks. I plan to go out and get more logs once you guys make some suggestions on other things to do.
05 5EAT
Flow UP/DP Catless
Crucial catless midpipe
K&N filter
Cobb v 1.16 Stage 2 map
I have the TDC Stage 2 TPS map that I might log later.

I get the feeling the car isn't where it should be. Seems like the Maf G/S is a little low and its not holding boost to well. Maybe I'm wrong though. Like I said, I'm new to this.

what didn't work with enginuity?

just glanced over your logs.
you actually have a slight amount of timing pulled ~3300rpms in both logs
the flow numbers are a bit low, do you know your elevation?
oh yes, and it looks like your TC locked up at 5370rpms on that run,
and 5000rpms on the other run

I'm near sea level and yeah I figured the TC lock up was around there too. I think the TC is also responsible for the timing being pulled at 3300. When I go WOT at 2500 the RPM's jump to about 3300 because of the TC.
What about the max KC of 6?
I just checked my air filter and its very dirty so I have it cleaning now and I'll log this map again then the Cobb with a TDC realtime over it. Maybe I'll do the TDC TPS base map even though I hate running that map (my tranny probably hates it more)

hmm, common thought was that the KC was being pulled there just because ~3600rpms is near peak load on a subaru and it was running too much timing.
I hadn't even figured that the stock stall is right around there too, and what implications that might be having on the whole system...

The peak MAF values seem fairly typical for Cobb Stg2 5EAT logs.
The timing is probably being pulled at the 3200-3300 rpm range because the way the torque converter is loading the engine. Attached is a plot of the rpm versus speed. The boost comes on quick here too. It goes from 14 to 16 psi almost immediately and the engine load (grams) steps up quite drastically at this point.
I'm guessing that this phenomenon is fairly common on 5EAT logs.

I cringe at that point and for normal spirited driving I try not to get on it until after 3500 for that reason. The shock can't be good on the gears.

but is this due to the TC or just how the VF40 reacts?

on an AT, the shock is absorbed by the clutchpacks, not the gears themselves.
subscribed for more logging fun :)

I think it's the 5EAT.
The spike doesn't look like this on 5MT.

I think its a combination of both but I'd put more fault on the Torque converter. I'm curious to see what aftermarket/modified TC logs look like. Jerseyglock???

One more log. I loaded the TDC realtime map that came with my TPS BM/RT setup over the top of the cobb base map ( I hate the TDC TPS base map). Let me know if this looks safe. The Maf values went up everything else is almost the same. What does it mean that my knock correction is only at 6 and others are seeing as high as 10? Is that good or bad? Thanks for helping the noob.

that looks like its flowing a good 10g/s over the other map, and the KC is staying the same.
looks good.

Towards the bottom I thought it asked for a Password and you had to input the number image thing. Maybe not though. LOL

I should also note that I logged again with just the cobb base map after cleaning the air filter and the maf values averaged closer to 230 but the TDC map definately has more flow.

certainly not the difference that you would expect given the dyno charts from TDC

To be fair, I don't really know whats on the RT map.... I was hoping the boost targets were but it doesn't seem to be holding much if any more so its probably on the base map. I may load the base map too just to see what it looks like. I just hate the constant full boost at part throttle when your trying to drive normal.

FWIW I went out and did a log calculate my 0-60 time which is at 4.776 give or take a little. 14.51 PSI on the launch and all 4 lost a little traction, damn RE92's and michigan beach sand. LOL I think at the track I could get it down a couple tenths.

Couple more.
TDC TPS Base and realtime 3rd gear pull

TDC TPS Base and realtime 4th gear cruising around, 1/3 throttle. Notice the boost.

LIke I said, I don't care for the TDC TPS map and have already switched back to cobbs map with the TDC RT map over it. I'll do some more datalogging when it gets HOT out to make sure its still safe. I knew something didn't feel right with the TPS map.
