I'm pretty much ready to order, but still need to pick the color. And that ain't easy. So i want to put as many pictures of factory colors in one place so it's easier to pick the colors for people that want to order in advance.

dimil,
Thanks!
I'm presuming the first two shots are of the Atlantic Blue?

Edited.
You can just add content by editing yourself instead of adding more posts. Go to the EDIT button on the right top of your completed post to get in and change the content. It's pretty easy to use. :)
I love this place because we aren't limited by number of pics per page. Some places restrict it to 8 per post which is a little tight for some things.

RED LOOK SO PIMP
my choices are down to
black, white and red
BTW i give prop to who waxed or put oil all over the car

I must say.. the red is very stunning, especially on the back of the wagon!

It's a MUCH better looking red than they used to have, but I'm still not much of a red guy other than on a Z06 or Ferrari.
White is my second to last choice because my family has owned a number of white cars in a row, makes it feel monotonous. Although, the WRX Wagon with 17" Gold UK OEM's like the last WRX STi Wagon recieved is sorta pimp. :p

I'm still loving that red, especially since I thought I heard it will be a GT only color? Otherwise the darker blue or white are also very nice.

GT only and of course the outback models.. at least I know it comes on the OBXT.

Me too.
Found these pics of the white GT wagon.
I like the artic pearl white. Its actually got this glittery metallic finish to it, that really increases the depth of the colour. Very nice. In sedan form, it looks much better with the spoiler. Kinda like a space shuttle (ditto the white WRX STI).
Hope this will satisfy you media whores... :P
Cheers,
Mike.

Can't say I'm much for the eye-lids. But as I generally say: to each their own.

I like the front bumpers on the last two pearl white Legacy's.

eyelids are so so.. at least the USDM aftermarket front accessories will certainly fit both sedan and wagon.. unlike what WRX owners have dealt with since the beginning.

yeah, looks too much like a honda ricerish sort of mod.

Ditto.
I do very much like the wheels in the 2nd pic. Would look awesome on the Garnet red too.

I know this is an Outback but since this is just a color thread I thought those interested in Atlantic Blue might like to see. Unlike other pics I have seen, this one seems to truly represent the color swatch I saw at the dealer today.

i wish they offered those spec-b wheels here as an option. I would definitely add them to the price of the car!

I would at least be verymuch looking into them for summer wheels. Too bad they aren't in 18x7.5" to accomodate a much wider variety of tires at a definite reduced cost.

One thing about all of these shots of the GT... body roll seems to be *very* well controlled.
:)
Oh yeah, and although the pic is a little blurry, the RB GT wagon looks like the ticket! :)

Ok "Mr. Hard to Please"
:)
How about this, of the USDM car. It's seems like the car is being pushed a bit (sidewall deflection) but roll is not bad at all... :P

Well, one's a fresh, shiny apple...
The other's starting to shrivel and dry up a bit. :)
On a serious note, if the production Leg GT has body control like the subdriven pic suggests, I'll be a *very* happy camper. :)

You really don't know how hard they're pushing it either. Not trying to downplay the new one, but it's still comparing oranges and tangerines or whatever if there is no baseline for how hard they're being pushed.
Sorry for hurting your feelings Dave. ;)

Hurting feelings... come down to Milwaukee and me and my knuckle sandwich will show you a thing or two about hurting feelings.
:D
True enough on the USDM pic... the surface looks awfully dirty.
But... the sidewall is deflecting to the point where it doesn't look like it was being driven at 3/10 or something.
Jeez, Sube... can't I just live in my "Legacy GT body roll" dreamworld for a few minutes without you leaking in my Cheerios??

hahaha, I'll bet you guys have good time up in the Wisco pubs. Go Brewers. lol.
And 555- I'm expecting a performance option in the 2006 GT that has the STi turbo system, at 320hp and 310tq ... so don't crush my idea until one year from now, thanks. :P [or the E?37 for that matter :D ]

Pub, what? Bar, what? I'm 22 and I don't drink. Being a college student, gotta save the greenbacks for other things. Never found the need for drinking.
I'm gonna have to remind though, I'm skeptical about an EZ37 fitting.

Hey 3.75 and Heavy... where in CO are you guys?
I *love* Steamboat. I suppose it's growing out out of it's britches a bit now, but it's still darn nice. Beautiful area.
Wife and I are considering the Pac NW (Oregon, Wash) or Colo as a next living destination...
HeavyB

The Ph.D. is in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I'm finishing up my post-doc here studying immunology, and in a few months will be Professor HeavyB at Ohio State University. A lifetime committed to academic pursuits is the main reason why the nicest car I've ever driven as my car was the new '91 Toyota Tercel I bought my senior year at Iowa State. Its only gone downhill from there :x, but that will change this fall (red or silver GT Legacy Wagon). My wife drives the '98 Outback as her car.
RacerDave, the mountains here in Colorado are great. I'm not a huge fan of Denver. The traffic is really bad every day of the week, and the city has already outgrown the sustainable water supply. The 4+ years I've been here, we've been in one of the worst droughts in history, and its been kinda miserable (not alot of snow for skiing, no rain in the summer to keep the golf courses green). Steamboat is one of my favorite ski areas here in CO. Its very laid-back, and really pretty up there (just a bit of a drive compared to most of the other ski-areas). I'll miss the fly fishing and hiking opportunities when we leave, but there's alot about Denver I'll be glad to see in the rear-view mirror (even better in the rear-view mirror of a '05 Legacy GT wagon). I love the PNW too, and we almost moved there instead of Ohio. Truth be told, if we had a chance to move back to Madison, we'd do it in a heartbeat. We loved Wisconsin (Mrs. HeavyB recieved her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from UW-Madison too and will also soon be Professor Mrs. HeavyB at OSU  ).
Cheers,
HeavyB

Great stuff, Heavy.
Yes, Madison is nice. I'm closer to Milwaukee now, but I'd consider a move to Madison if we were to stay in the state.
Congrats to you and Mrs. Heavy! Way to go Prof HeavyB. :)
I'm just about to finish (in early June) my Master's in Information Technology at Northwestern... the Big 10 seems to be a recurring theme here. :)
Thanks again for the 0.02 on CO.

Mmm, just a comment, but body roll is controlled more by stabilizer bars and suspension geometry than it is by springs and dampers. While the USDM is not as firmly damped as the Spec B, for instance, neither is my GT, but that did not affect body roll.
Cheers,

Further, body roll, or lack thereof, ain't all it's cracked up to be. People don't realize how good compliance is until they don't have it any longer.
One Legacy, two different suspension setups: Tein HAs, 450/375 spring rates and DMS Golds, 225/180 spring rates. The Tein had less body roll, but the DMS setup handled light years better. It doesn't matter how stiff a car is, if the wheels aren't contacting the road.

Dave-- Littleton, southern sprawl burb of Denver. I don't have any other place to compare here to, [never been anywhere else for more than a month] so I like it just fine. The traffic isn't great, that's true. About the drought, everything goes in waves. [pun intended]. I also LOVE Steamboat--- and a bit of a drive from Denver is a good thing! :P Esp. with a Subaru. The only gripe I have with CO is the lack of beaches. But, no place is perfect. I love CO, will be up at CU Boulder this fall for aero. I would recommend Colorado to you, but we have too many immigrants as-is.... lol! LOTS of Subarus here.... I think Burt Subaru is close to the top in dealer sales in the nation........ Ironically, the anti-slick AWD cars sell best in the state with 300 sunny days a year..... :D
racerdave
05-01-2004, 07:12 AM
Hehe... I here you on the immigrants. I suppose that's a benefit to WI... not exactly a magnet for drawing new people in. Let's see, we have no mountains, no ocean (ok, a couple of *really* big lakes) and really high taxes. :)
Thanks for the 0.02.

Naw, you're welcome imo :D And we are coming out of the drought, yesterday 1" of snow, now it's noon, 60deg and there isn't a cloud in the sky. All the snow has been soaking into the lawn.... yay!
