If I got a Legacy, I'd be in school here in Davis for most of the next few years. I'd like to find a dealership around here that is known for good service. Any places you guys would recommend? Or not recommend? Thanks for your input.

Also, are there any tuning (audio/performance) places that you guys would recommend? Stay away from?

Not sure any of us on this board are from Sacramento, my advice would be to take a look over on I-Club under the Bay Area forum and ask there.

Well im here in Sacramento. I know of 3 dealers and im pretty sure theres a 4th in the area. I bought mine from the roseville automall (supposidely the largest automall in the US) and after hageling they gave me a good deal on my WRX. They marked up the STI 5k for the first 6 months but were willing to go under msrp if you fought (usual dealer crap). My dads girlfriend bought her outback from auburn subaru (30 mins out of sac towards tahoe) and my dad said the owner was really cool, let him take an STI out by himself 2 months after it was sold here, which i thought was amazing because they're all nazi's about testdrives. So we have many to pick from here.

Cool, welcome to the forums. I'm guessing you got an STi? Do you like it? Also, I'd like to know how the service department at Roseville Automall is. If I can get a Legacy, I will probably buy it in So. Cal. where my parents live. But I'll be in school most of the time, so yeah.

I would visit Maita, then Auburn.
Don't ever go to Roseville, you'll just get raped.
There's also Senator, but I don't know how they are.
I talked to this guy Chuck at Shingle Springs, but he's so slow on everything I've given up. They either don't have invoice prices yet or decided they don't want my business and not to call me back.

That's one good reason to stay away. There must be some sort of marketing/sales philosophy behind this sort of bull-shit. Perhaps 1 in 100 people actually pay the $5k overage.

Yeah.. I'd be wary of any outfit that tried selling at over $5k MSRP, that's a sure sign that they're dicks.

I'm also from sactown. Only subaru dealership I've been to has been maita, and they've been pretty good about service. SOmetimes it takes them forever to get parts but I think that's because my car is almost 15 years old now :(

Test drove an auto :( Gt wagon today at Roseville Subaru. They expect to have manuals in a few weeks. They wanted 32k for the limited wagon. I was extremely impressed with the fit and finish and drive, yet i felt it lacked power, im hoping it was the auto which seemed very slow to react/shift, like most auto's do. Anyways go check it out, they're definetly offering test drives since i got to. :D
