I'm about to pick up my legacy tonight and was wondering if anyone knows of a good tint shop and a good stereo shop in the area? I've heard about Sound In Motion for stereos, but they seem to be super expensive. Any ideas?

For stereo, try Sound In Motion, Car-Risma, Krank It Up.

For tint, try Tint King or Tint A Glass.

Took my car to Tink King this morning and it looks like they did an amazing job. I'll post pix when I get a chance. The guys that work there are top notch and super-friendly. I had them install paint protection on both my bumpers as well since I get tapped a lot in Boston. Looks great! Thanks for the recommendation!!

How much and what kind of film did you get? How long did it take?

I know of a place in Fairhaven that is going to run $320 for the wagon. They use Lamar tint.

You mean Llumar? Thats supposedly the best tint. I had that on a previous car and it looked great. Didn't fade or discolor at all.

I got 35% in front and 27% in back.

3M film w/ lifetime warranty which includes the color of the film.

$260.

They also offer Llumar film which would have been $200.

I got my wagon done at Tint King in Billerica. He did it in under an hour, Llumar 40% front, 35% rear, lifetime warranty, non-metallic for better radio reception, around $250 if I remember correctly. It's been on for 5 months now and it's been great day and night.

Oooooohhhhhhh....that looks beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful. Since Outbacks are listed as "trucks", I think I'll go with 20% rears and 35% front.

I went to a place called Tint A Glass. They charged me $180 for the front and back windows plus the back windshield at 35%. The use a non-metallic film. They did a great job and the guy who did the job was very friendly. If anyone is interested in them, here is their website:

I went to Eastern Glass Tinting www.tint-it.com (http://www.tint-it.com) i think for my tints, 35% all around, came out perfect, the place was nice, too. Who does Paint protection film from 3M? I'm in the Boston area
