It seems not a month or week goes by that myself or a moderator hears of some issue with a paying site vendor. I just wanted to state our stance and hopefully outline some general policies.

Personally, this site is a community, a forum. Just like there are advertisments in Motor Trend, classifieds on eBay and Craigslist, this site offers the same. Before dealing out lots of dough to any Vendor, please read up on them, via this site, other members, the reviews area, and iTrader. If you have a problem with a Vendor that hasn't been resolved by email, pm or phone - you have many options.

1) Open a thread publicly discussing your issue in a calm and respectful manner. Many times a simply notice like this will clear up most issues.

2) Leave iTrader feedback. Noone wants negative feedback, but without it how woould you warn other potential customers.

3) Write up your experience in the Reviews (http://legacygt.com/reviews/showcat.php?cat=42) area. If the Vendor isn't listed, you can add it.

4) Report this issue to your Credit Card company, Paypal, or however you paid.

5) Take legal action. Small claims court will run you maybe 50 bucks which you can get back if you win. Keep all your documentation. Remember you can only sue if you are actually out money.

If members have other suggestions, please post them here and I'll add it to the list. Maybe we can get a sticky of information going for the Vendor forums.

Thanks,
Tide

Agreed.
Use these guidelines to try and resolve the issue constructively.
It is good for the purchaser, the vendor, and the LGT community.

Airing things out publicly often works wonders. The nature of e-commerce seems to be high expectations but lots of mistakes. Needless to say, there are quite a number of vendors on this site (as with every other) with sub-par communication.

I could not agree with you more. I know I have been all tied up in the middle of the biggest messes on LGT.com.

It is my goal to share the truth of my personal disaters with TDC.

I don't wan't anyone going through what I had to go through in the modding dreams.

Take everything for a grain of salt. Listen to both side, resource the vendors, and make an educated effort on what you do to your car.

Wait. Why are you asking a subordinate for a favor?

you need to choose the right forum 'skin' - it's not visible in all. legacy gt 3.0 works for sure (bottom left corner of the page)

Are the terms any different when the complaint originates from a Group Buy thread?
Is this something the Mods/Admin would /could get involved with?

This is a public forum, you buy stuff at your own risk, especially from other members and not registered businesses.
