I got a prosport boost guage yesterday from MACH V. I wanted a boost guage to more importantly make adjustments and make sure my boost continues to run properly. I dont think it is necessary to have one visible all the time and I like the clean look of the legacy interior. I also like using the space in my cubby, sunglasses, papers...etc.
With that said I decided to install my boost guage with only the face showing IN the back of the cubby. So what did I do? I had to use a hole saw and a drill to drill a hole a little smaller then 2 inchs in the back of the cubby. I then had to use a dremel to cut the top of the cubby to allow the top of the guage someplace to go since the inside of the cubby, which is smaller than two inchs (size of the face of the guage). After those cuts and the guage was able to be FORCED back and "clicked" or seated into place, I went to make sure it would slide right in to the dash. Well of course it wouldnt because me being an idiot didnt realize there was a plastic support back in the under the dash for the cubby. It really serves no purpose so I went to work again with the hole saw and the drill. PERFECT! Slid right in. I know this is vauge and is hard to understand without pictures but I will post them when I get home tonight.
