I have a few roads that I love to travel on. Most of the time I will go out of my way to take a road that has light traffic and is enjoyable. What about everyone else? What are your favorite driving roads?
My favorite driving roads are about 600 miles from my house! N. Georgia mountains and N. Carolina...I go at least twice a year.
Around home...I hit the two lane country roads in southern Hillsborough county, quite a bit of good country roads, little traffic, interesting sites..

The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive in Virginia are awesome for driving, sightseeing, and hiking any time of the year. I especially enjoy them in the Fall at peak leaf-changing season.

We just went to Tenn. The driving up north is completely different. The change in elevation along with the snaking mountain roads is amazing. I was only disappointed by the fact we took the Outback instead of the Legacy. Didn't get a chance to try out the parkway when we were up there. We would have had to drive through Gatlinburg on a Saturday to get there. But man what a place to be. It is certainly a different place up in the mountains.
