I just got a 07 GT limited. I see there is a button on the radio for satellite radio. Do I need to buy additional parts to transfer my subscription. Like do i need an antenna? How much? or can i use my previous antenna and Do i plug it behind the factory radio or is the car already wired for it so the plug is somewhere else. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

J.R.

No Sirius in the Legacy. If you want XM, you'll need to get the reciever and antenna from the dealer (about $375). Then you'll need a credit card to activate and pay for the subscription :)

375??? Ouch... I would just pick up a seperate unit for $130 or so and go external, of course, that's what you'd need to do if you want Sirius.

Isn't it amazing how the dealer in car units are triple the price of regular radios. On top of that you can take regular radios inside and use them there too for the same price (and per month price). On top of that the screens of pretty much all cars are 1 line so your getting a garbage display for all this $. I really don't get it, such a scam.

Check to see if this will work:http://xmradio.com/xm-direct/index.xmc#

It is a panasonic head unit, and as far as I know the communication bus is the same to the XM receivers.. someone with more knowledge might be able to confirm or deny this tho.

So there is no way for an module or something to convert it. That STINKS. I just got back from the dealer (they installed a free intake and heatshield) and they didnt know about the xm only on the radio.
