I think mine has operated at about 120m line of sight...
I am worried about getting hand cancer with the powerful radio in the remote... maybe it is all the Japanese remotes and their powerful signals that is affecting the average American car buyers head and somehow convincing them to buy Japanese.. would explain why Ford and GM are in trouble...
Japanese mind control at the hand of every keyless entry system.. just a thought.

Hold the remote to your chin and hold your arm up, it will go even further. ( human antenna).

i work on the 4th floor of a building, and when parked about 100 yards away from the building (maybe more), i have been able to lock/unlock my car from my office.

I rigged mine to my cell phone, I just call my phone and press 1 to unlock and 2 to lock, but don't ask me what 3 does......
I like the range of these remotes thou, most of the time to get the range we do we would need to put it up to our head... etc.

I've done as well as 150 yards, and I've seen as poor as less than 3 feet from the driver's door.
Madison, Wisconsin has some crazy something going on that the remote doesn't work there for some reason unless you're RIGHT next to the car. I've also encountered this at some shopping malls.

That's for sure! I never knew if I wasn't close enough or the battery was dead on my old Audi. I figured out that if the fob was on the antenna and it didn't open, the battery was then dead.
Cheers,

Far enough that I received a phone call from the local PD, about my car's alarm/horn going off for more than an hour:lol: !
Get this, we live in a townehouse, and my car was parked roughly 2 blocks away, and my 2yr old was playing with the remote. He hit the red panic button while my wife was making dinner:lol:
