View Full Version : gauge help
So I've looked around for some guage options and I'm sort of dissapointed. At first I thought A-Pillar gauges was the way to go, and after some research there seems to be some safety concerns, so that is out. My cubby pod is already filled with navigation. I'm going to need at least three guages (boost, oil pressure/level, and the meth alky system) I'd love to have a computerized version that would plug into my N3 but that doesn't seem to exist. Anybody have any ideas?

I for a while thought about doing carputer based gauges... most of the stuff is on CAN. Some things are not (oil pressure, oil temp), but could hooked up via some AD converters.
Too much effort so I gave up. Instead decided for STI gauge pack and a portable navi mounted to either dash above or windshield (haven't not bought one yet).

But he really doesnt have an option since ha has navi, unless he does the perrin dual steering column pod and the Avo dash pod

I'll do the AVO dash pod to start with the boost (at least keep an eye on something!)
Just thought about this. I have a GT, but can I get the manual climate control set with that radio and install my navigation down there, that way I can get my cubby back for gauges?

I got the Omori 45mm gages with pods that mount on top of the steering column. Only two gages though (boost/EGT). The 45s are small, but are big enough to use, and at least I can still see the factory gages vs. the Perrin pod which is huge.
