I've bot this to change my music system in my Subaru legacy spec B:
http://www.subaruparts.ru/i/cat/item/283_2.jpg
and 2 din board
i thought that it would be like on your photos, but when i opened the box i found that it is black (ACC unit)
The problem is that it shows the temperature, mode etc but it doesn't respond to my actions. I push buttons but nothing happens. I'll make photos an maybe videos today.
My legacy is LHD like most cars in Russia. =)

The unit in the picture is single ACC. Perhaps the guy has dual ACC? (I am pretty sure EDM 3.0R SpecB has dual ACC).

I have a single zone ACC it is sure, the head unit is similar to this: http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=7795&d=1119608980
and this black acc head unit is for single zone Acc. It is similar to this one but isn't the same :

Do i have to change anything to install it, or it should be connected to the original plug in the car without any changes?

So, both your original head unit/AC face plate and the new AC only module are single zone? And both are in celcius?

C/F units are controlled by the gauge cluster, not ACC controls.

YEP! They're both single zone and in celcius! This acc unit is normally for Australia. My car is 05my and this plate is for cars of 07my. Maybe that is the problem. Photo, mobile phone quality, sorry.

Yes, likely this is the problem. There is the similar accessory specifcialy for A-C revision cars (pre MY2007).

All Legacies’ for European market before 2007MY have single zone ACC and have silver faceplate. Last restyling i.e. 2007MY have dual ACC and faceplate colored in black. As I think if you want 2DIN you should ask seller to exchange console for single zone ACC in silver.

The plate that i've purchased is SINGLE ZONE, but in black... If you look at the photo carefully you can see fan on the left and temp on the right, if it is dual zone acc it has temp on the left and on the right. See the difference between these two plates?

Does silver ACC work without any problems and need no efforts to install?
