i.e. like this:
http://www.intellesale.com/imageViewer.asp?itemID=21335
except that has a built-in amp on the line-out (ick) and needs yet another cable..
or this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-USB-Sync-Charge-Cable-Line-out-for-Apple-iPod_W0QQitemZ140068730481QQihZ004QQcategoryZ56172 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
it's white, wrong gender on the line-out, and needs yet another adapter for power.
I just want a male 1/8" and power plug.. Looks so far like I have to make my own or daisy chain adapters :(

I just plan on adding a cig adapter to jazzymt's product (or even hard-wiring it into the center console) for use in my wife's 07 OBW.

$30, but it's the best solution with the least amount of hacking that I can seem to find. You'd think that there would be a million of these things around...

Nah he doesn't either
for a clean 07+ setup you want:
dock connector -> long cable -> male 1/8" line out plug + cig lighter power plug.
The Belkin is the closest I can find except it violates the line out with a build-in amp :/

not sure how the 07 aux in works but i can say with the Jazzy aux in kit that using the 1/8" headphone jack sucks. went to the Navone iPod RCA cable adapter N-iPod-RCA Plus which plays though the line out and charges the iPod at the same time. the sound quailty/level is much much better than the 1/8" jack. all you would need is a RCA adapter to the aux in. power, charger, better sound, one connection all in one. good luck. btw if your looking for a slick set-up to mount the iPod or other stuff ie. cell phone, GPS, iPod try www.proclipusa.com bosco

it's actually more of an attenuator. I used it in my setup and my iPod + CleanSweep sounded as good as CD for dynamic range (helps if you ditch the std. iTunes format ;) )

I've ripped a lot of my flac+cue -> ALAC through itunes.. theoretically it is CD quality.. but *shrug* waiting for my Belkin to arrive.. the headphone jack on the ipod is definitely colored..

then the Navone charger/line out would work with a female RCA to 1/8" stereo adapter. pull the power for it right off the power point hide all the wires in console. done. bosco

we ripped all 600 CD's to 320kbps MP3 on a network drive. From there, we can convert to whichever format we want for burning to CD (the OEM MINI radio plays MP3's) or moving to an iPod. I just picked up a 30gb model, but haven't opened it yet....trying to decide what CD receiver to choose (hi-speed iPod and amber display are a rare combo it seems...)

Should just use flac, etc, if you were going to do it again. 2-3x the storage space but bit-exact audio. (That only comes out to like ~250GB, big deal) I decompress the flac's then mount the .cue with daemon tools, then itunes (or whatever) grabs all the metadata for the CD from cddb/freedb and rips the audio like it was the original CD.
