Hey have you tried to contact Japanparts?? They're usually really good about getting items that aren't even on the menu ;)

Yeah, contact Graham for any Japanese parts that aren't listed on their site, as he can usually get them for you. I've purchased a few parts from them that weren't listed on their site.

You will need all the guts for the Spec B conversion... and if you get this bumper cover from japan, it will fit the Spec B conversion parts. It is the same dimensions as the JDM Spec B setup, including the grille.

Just make sure you get the fog light brackets, and lower grille mesh inserts, and associated parts, aside from the undertray/fenderwell inserts, and bumper beam... the same as any other conversion to JDM Spec B bumper covers. Some people hack some of the parts to fit, but AVO sells all the conversion parts, as you probably already know.

Personally, I would eschew the mesh grille that the Blitzen/3.0R-Spec.B has, put a K2 or ZeroSports recessed mesh grille even in carbon fiber, or even a 07 JDM Spec B mesh/chrome outline grille instead.

Although the american market Outback grille should fit that, as well. However, the US market Legacy grilles (ALL, including USDM Spec B) are shorter from top to bottom, and will not fit properly on the bumper covers that take the taller grilles.

JapanParts, or any of the other importers, AVO, etc... that ship japanese parts to the US, or even Australian parts, should be able to procure this bumper cover from Japan, or Australia. They will probably have to purchase it on your behalf from a subaru supplier in one of those countries.

The question would be, if it is pre-painted. I believe those cars came in bright red, black, and also a dark-ish silver... I am not sure if the spare parts for the Blitzen come pre-painted or not.

yes they do come pre painted Im talking with avo and japanparts. Japanparts seems to be getting back and keeping in touch with me more. I know that I have to get the JDM conversion parts but it is not a nesecity(sp?)

depending on the price of the blitzen im going with that.

I am not sure if the Blitzen's black paint is the same as yours, but at least the repaint wouldn't be as hard...

Good luck, and keep us posted....

Sorry... I was looking at your avatar, rather than your car listing...

GRP is not going to match blitzen red. To match, I suggest painting the rest of your car. :D

Blitzen red is much brighter than GRP, and less pearlescent, if at all. More like the WRX STI's Solid Red color. More of a primary color red.

Definitely different than GRP. They both have their merits, and slight disadvantages.

I think it would be cool to have a bright red Legacy, like the Blitzen. It would attract more attention, though. You wouldn't be able to take your eyes off of it. But then neither would cops... :D
