So western Washington was hit with a decent snowfall earlier in the week. Took a bunch of great pictures of our corporate offices (which I'll post in OT) and got a couple of the Leggo on my lunchbreak (I start work at 4:30am).

Everyone. . . POST UP! I know the storm's making its way across the country already, so we should see quite a few! ;)

They put cinder rocks on the roads in the winter in Central Oregon. (Bend was my hometown) Those pics almost make me want to drive my Legacy back this xmas.

Well, I don't think the Legacy will do too well seeing as I have 3 sets of summer tires. :D Plus, I just take the Forester up when I head to the snow (which has Nokian WRs). I do drive the Legacy in the rain, though. ;)

Great shot. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, part of that photo is also in a Discount Tire ad - specifically, Sport Compact Car, January 07, page 6. Did they compensate you for that, or is it time to kick some ass? :D

It's been in SEVERAL issues of multiple mags. . . . and they just keep on using it. Nope, have yet to be compensated. . . which is something I'm still working on. ;)

Those look better than the OZ Superleggeras with simillarly split-6 spokes. I like the nicely dropped and raised center. If they were 18" and wider than 7", they'd be on my list...

I still think someone needs to meld a 9-2X (front bodywork, maybe some interior... ) with a WRX STI limited. understated trunk spoiler on a sedan, with the saab-ish front end, hybrid saab/STI suspension settings (comfortable and capable) = nice little car.

Sorry for getting off-topic, but the major changes are STi steering rack, softer ride but better dampening. As for the interior, everything is the same as the 05 WRX but we get two tone seating with seats similar to the 02-03 WRX but a little wider and less supportive. The only two things on the car that say Saab are two badges, everything else is either stamped Subaru or FHI. :icon_mrgr

If I were looking for a car like a rex wagon, I'd have gotten the saab, as well... the front end is much slicker than the WRX bugeye or blob-eye. The 06 WRX wagon is getting closer, but it still has the schnozz center grille. The saab three-grille option is much more attractive, and the lights look similar, although no projectors on the saab.

Those wheels do look great in 18". With that and an 8" width, they would be a very attractive option. 16"s won't even fit a Legacy GT... oh, well.

Maybe we'll see when the wife's Miata is too small to haul potential future kids and gardening supplies around at the same time, although the wife hates wagons... another reason for a subie/saab hybrid-body sedan. :D

She does like her gardening stuff, and hauling home antique store finds, and furniture pieces. AWD would be nice for her in the winter, and she'd like the small size and go-fast of a turbo, but would probably be fine even without the turbo. The miata probably wouldn't go anywhere, and just be used for the occasional joyride.

Late night trip up to Whistler for some 3 feet of fresh new snow...and after a great day of continuous 500 vertical runs of epic powder...gotta love it...also due to my lack of planning did the trip on my summer wheels and General UHP's with no problems at all!

Yet another West Coast Snow Storm! Had to do a little plowing...

Three feet of fresh new powder the next day lay in wait!

I didn't take a shot in the morning but this was four hours into 10 straight hours of a blower snowstorm ... I dude bet me $10 bucks the next morning that I couldn't drive out of my parking spot ... the only problem with that was that I almost got stuck when I stopped to roll down the window to collect the cash!

By the way ... still on the Superleggaras with the Generals...I really do have to stick my winter rubber on one of these days!

Well I'd love to post some winter photos, but its freakin Jan 4th and still hasn't snowed here. I'm not complaining, the car has stayed a lot cleaner without the sand/salt all over the road, especially with that liquid salt garbage they use now in CT.

I wax my wheels to keep that from happening. When they pack up really bad the wheels are out of balance and you wobble down the road. Gotta love driving the AWD car in deep snow like that! Probably gonna get a little of that tonight if the weather stays like this...

OK, not my Legacy, but my other Subaru on a recent trip to the Sierra Nevada Mtns.

I loved laughing at all the other cars up there with chains on their wheels. Seeing big soccer-mom SUV's with chains was a crack up. The little Forester XT just plowed through snow and ice. What an awesome winter vehicle.
