Anyone running these rims, I dig the look and the 8.5" width but I worry that the 50mm offset is no good, the wheel thread says you need a 48mm or less offset, will te 50mm work with a 8.5 rim and a 245/35 tire, my car is a spec-b running tein h-techs?:icon_conf

These would be my second choice, but they are only 8" wide, I would prefer the Kosei K3 because of the extra width. I love the look of both, and the weight is almost identical.

I beleive on a sedan you will be Ok running a +50mm on a 8.5" wide rim. Just dot go any wider than a 245 tire and you should be fine.

I've got a set of these on order with potenza S-02's 225/40ZR/18. What's the consensus? Did you get the 18x8.5 K3's? can you share any pics? I'm hoping as well that the 50mm offset works. I wish I had known I could go with a 235 or 245... Next tire change maybe i'll try it... Thanks guys!

18x8.5 +50 works just fine. i run 18x8.5 +48mm and I have 3mm worth of clearance to my spring perch on my coilovers.

i have 2nd rim (WEDS SA-70) 18x8 +48 w/ 225/45/18 and the fronts rub when im turning & going over a ditch at the same time.. and my car is not yet lowered..

and no.. its not due to the extra profile (45 compared to 40) of the tire.. although 40 would make it somewhat better, it is due to front tires sticking out too much..

For anyone who is thinking of these wheels, here's what they look like. Just had them put on today. Kosei K3's (18"x8.5") running potenza S02's 225/40ZR18. I'm very happy with the look. The handling/driving seems to be excellent so far (only driven 30 miles on dry and not broken in yet).

BTW, how do I insert an image? I know this is a total noob question, but i'm dumb...

Those do look nice. In the future you may want to go with a wider tire to use all of that 8.5" width, a 235 or 245 would work, if you are really bold a 255!

Is your car a wagon or a sedan? Someone local to me is selling a set of SSR Comps 18x8.5" +48mm offset w/ a 235mm tire and I just wanted to be sure that they will fit on my 05LGT wagon with stock suspension.

Thanks in advance!!
