Yeah a 92x guy had them powdercoated and got bored with the look. He switched it up, i picked these up from him....
i always wanted a set of BBS's for daily driving...these just happen to be black!!

i still think you shoulda gone with the flame shooting tailpipe with the pimpstar LCD wheels but i guess you were looking for something more understated.
do you have clearance issues when driving in Mammoth with your drop or do you adjust your coilovers?

no issues at mammoth...we stay close enough to the Village Gondola, so we usually walk, but the roads are pretty clear to the top....
and if it is areally $#itty...just take the bus to the mountain!!. I did Highside once in the wagon...that sucked!!

I agree...the pictures are a decent representation but hardly do the color combo justice...
it's slowly growing on me...
I will say coming from a 18" rim with a 35 series tire to a 17" rim with a 45 series tire, the ride has softened up and quieted down...
excellent!!! I'd like to get my set painted or coated an anthracite grey, like on P1's.

I think it looks awesome, and sinister. I know pics don't do it justice. It's the same way with my wheels. our camera gear just isn't up to the task. ;)

Looks good. So the wheels are powder coated? I'd be careful then.. I have heard of a couple cases where powder coated stock forged BBS wheels got weak and brittle and actually broke at an autocross.
The powder coating process involves pretty high temperatures, and since wheels are forged under high pressure and temperature, apparently the powder coating can weaken the strength of the wheel. I've been trying to find a place that does low temp powder coating but with no luck..
So anyway, just keep this in mind since I have no idea what temp those wheels were powder coated at.

I had the same worries about the rims also. I made sure to double check with the previous owner on how the rims where actually powdercoated. They were done professional @ low temp at a very reputable company in northern california.
Thanks for looking out!!

Yeah, me too, totally. But I like the style of the Prodrive wheels better. They would be AWESOME in A Gloss Black

(psuedo post whore thread)...i love it!
I love both sets of rims....i was thinking of refinishing the Prodrives to a darker color...
The BBS's just have that OEM Vibe to them....
I can always sell one and become a Jr. Wheel Whore!!

Those are so ill. I really want to do a black on black setup
but those BBS' look better than the prodrives in my opinion. But, with an all black wheel it's hard to go wrong... unless it's a 3-spoke
