traded in the '02 for an '05 on Friday. i'm loving every minute of it.

Story about bring it back to NC:

i'm curising along 77S headed back to the house. couple of rigs infront of me move over, so i start to move over. as i'm moving over, i see rig smash into the back of a broke down flat bed rig. the guy in the broke down rig was out placing markers and the truck hit him, threw him inot the air and under the broken truck. the fuel tank and batteries then ruptured and caught fire.

the dude got stuck under the truck as it caught on fire. the trucks in front of me, the one behind me, and 2 who were headed north bound got out with their exstingushers to try to put the fire out around the guy. the fire burned for about 10mins since we were in BFE, but luckily it didn't spread across to the right lane and down the emergency lane. needless to say my 2hr trip home turned into 7hrs.

Thanks guys!! Compared to what i had, stock trim is AMAZING, so i'm not seeing the need to do power mods anytime soon. I may do some handling mods.

unfortunately i don't. i was talking on the phone, plus i didn't think it would be right to walk up there and take pics not knowing (at that time) if anyone was injured or not.

first mod has GOT to be some sort of short shifter. the stock shifter is way to high and the throw is waaaaaay too long and the shift knob is waaaay to big. but i also need some tint b/c i feel "naked" and "exposed"!!

power is uncompareable to the '02. 1st-2nd-3rd just puts a smile on my face everytime!!! it's also nice to know that when i pull into another lane i can stand on it and pass people!!!

the handling is also uncompareable, but i think that's mostly due ot the tires. the car has Riken Raptor tires (never heard of them) but in my eyes that are GOD now :lol: one on ramp that i used to take at 70 with my asshole puckered up in the '02 i took yesterday at 80 and it was begging for more. another ramp i used to take at 40-45 i took yesterday around 50 and it could have easily handled more. i'm still trying to get a feel for the car, as it just feels lighter and more responsive in steering, so i don't want to push it too far. maybe today (or definately tomorrow) i'm gonna get to go down my "test road". i got a feeling i'm gonna be smiling when it's all said and done! :) :D

'05 with 25k, 5spd, some brand of tires (Riken Raptor) i've never heard of but so far they are AMAZING. on ramps that used to be kinda scary at 70 in the '02 i was taking at 80 yesterday and it was begging for more. another ramp that i used to take at like 40-45 due to mad body roll and screaming tires, i took at 50 and it definately could have held more, just didn't want to push to far b/c im still trying to learn the car.

i'm looking at some springs, but i'm gonna have to mod carefully and slowly as not to put myself into debt since there are a TON of parts (as compared to the '02) for this car.

I have those tires on my Saturn for winter/non-race tires. I actually really, really like them! For all-season M+S tires they stick like...well they stick better than they should!

Kenda glad to hear you finally got one you have been milling around it for a while now.

Just curious what the mileage on it and is it a Pre-Owned or a left over? If the mileage is under 10k just wait it gets looser and more powerfull after that.
