Just bustin' balls. If you like, have at it. I'm not sure about the pink emblems and gold wheels combo on the black car, tho.

My wife loves pink. And goooooold! I'm not really all about it either, but when a girl says she likes gold on black, you just respect the decision.
She knows what she likes, I guess. I wanted her to get an RBS Grille and ditch the chrome, but she likes it as is. I did the DIY mesh on mine, to each his (or her) own.

One more thing: I wonder how often in a family of two similar cars, the guy drives a wagon and the girl drives the sedan. It'd be emasculating if my wagon wasn't so damn awesome.

The sedan is checking out the wagon's trunk :icon_surp

Wheels look good, but the pink on the grille looks bad.

She knows what she likes, but you have to change that. Black, gold and pink definetly don't go together.

not sure about the wheels on the sedan, but that could be the pink L7 badge screwin up the look of the car. It deffinatly needs a drop too. Maybe if it had the DIY grill or RSB grill it would work better. Its really close to lookin really sweet but falls short somehow IMHO.
Now the wagon on the other hand just needs a drop and you will have one dead sexy lookin wagon, it looks great now but that little extra push will be the finishing touch. Plus the handling improvement will be worth it too. My car had stock springs for a month after getting wheels and then it got dropped. Do that and you have 2 of the best mods you can do, you should upgrade tires and suspention at least before major power mods brake pads would be good to follow.
BTW what size wheels and tires did you go with and what tires did you get on them?

So, I told my wife that the consensus is that the pink badges have to go, and she says she noticed that it doesn't look good to her after getting the gold wheels. We ordered black badge stickers in case the pink was too garish, looks like those will be going on.
As far as a drop goes, I'm thinking JDM STi Pinks. I don't want too low of a drop, and I sure don't want to mess with my ride quality.
FYI, both sets of wheels are 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 tires. Mine are all season, and hers are summer only, but we'll both be hanging on to our stock wheels for winter.

The apostrophe in Legacy's implies possesion. I was trying to be cute, but it is typically improper to pluralize any brand name. To be grammatically correct, it would actually have read "...the Legacy cars", but that would sound stupid, so an accepted alternative would be "the Legacys". :icon_bigg

Are those Formula Mesh? If so where did you get them from.

No, they're Arospeed Kino Gold rims, which I had never heard of (as a cheapskate, I'm a Rota man myself), but we bought them from Spec-B GT here for a great deal.
Apparently, they're really heavy, but neither my wife nor I could really detect any performance hit at all, and ride quality has stayed about the same.

I think you would be good with a set of H-Techs the drop ir only 0.9 inch ll over and they are way less then pinks. I priced pinks and they were over $400 the H-Techs were under $200. They ride really close to stoch from what i here.

We had an Impreza and 2 BD generation Legacies in my driveway all at once. I had to sell the '96 though. :(

Yeeeeaaaaah. Post pics after you get rid of the pink badges.

Although gold wheels are a hot Subaru trademark... they look whack as hell when coupled with polished aluminum rims. it would be like wearing all sorts of gold rings, and then a thick silver chain around your neck... it just looks like something is amiss. I am probably the only one that thinks this, because so far, i am about the only person I know that really, really dislikes polished rims on colored wheels.

Actually, I'm with you, but I think it KIND OF works here, since there is the chrome sideskirt trim. If we ever replace these wheels, a set of BBS gold from the STi will be going up to replace them.

Not feeling the gold rims at all. Maybe more of a subdued gold.
To each their own, your wife has to drive it, not me. :D

Definatly needs a drop I've used Tein S Techs on my wagon, and think the ride quality is awsome. coupled up with Whitline swaybars. is a perfect Combo also think gold rims look better on White not no dark cars. heres a couple of pics from my stable.
