Ok, now that I met the requirement of the "1000" mile break-in-process, I was thinking of putting a boost gauge somewhere on my steering column. I saw the post by MELTDOWN07 in which a 45mm Omori Boost gauge was installed on the steering column as seen here (http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34090&highlight=boost+gauge+install)

So I had an idea with an older style AutoMeter single pod holder (52mm) to see if I could achieve the same results as MELTDOWN07. I will use some heavy duty DOUBLE STICK TAPE to mount it on the column cause I don't want to be drilling any holes that I'll regret later. Below are FOUR possible positions of where I'm considering putting the boost gauge. Yes, i know its a useless Air/Fuel gauge but I had to put something in the pod to test it.

Left of the "P". I like this one because this is the most practical place to put it. I could live without seeing the "Legacy" logo so this one is the front runner.

A little more to the left of the column. I would probably use this location if I could find a custom pod that would fit.

Up by the A-Pillar. Well, I'm not a fan of this one but it is in a place most suitable when driving. The location is more functional then any of the others.

On the dash. Well, in order for me to achieve this look, I would have to put on a dash cover to conceal the wiring and the double stick tape.

i'd go with choice A) next to the "P" covering the "LEGACY"

im still undecided where to place mine but I'm leaning heavily to have it molded into the top half of the a/c vent to the right of the steering wheel....

by the way, what is that "P" used for? I've searched the owners manual and can't seem to find its function.

It's mislabeled. It should be marked "BK" for "Battery Kill" switch. It turns the parking lights on while the engine is off. The instrument cluster lights do NOT come on with this switch, only exterior lights. Most people first find out about it when the bump it to "on" while cleaning the interior. They come out the next day and the car won't start.

;) If I only had one gauge, though, the column-mount would definitely be my #1 choice. I would simply choose a spot that doesn't interfere with any idiot-lights and, of course, primary gauges.

Currently, I have my TurboXS Knock/Shift light mounted in the first position as you indicated above.

+1 for pillar. I don't like blocking the factory dash.
