Anyone know if the 2007 LGT headunit will have a different harness than the '05/06s?

With the addition of XM and Aux in, I'm worried the radio harness will change too.

Hoping to upgrade within OEM.

Highly unlikely. The radio harness hasn't changed in 15-20 years. That doesn't mean the AC unit will be compatible with the controller in the 05/06 GT/XT's though.

Dammit!

You had to bring up the other thing.

Wasn't even thinking about that headache yet!

So anyone working @ a dealer seen the schematics yet? Have access?

Opie?

Anyone?

I'd venture an educated guess that the new radio should work just fine. There might be an extra MOLEX socket for the NAV to integrate, but anyone with an '06 Spec B or could confirm that for us.

Its been 6 months (or more) since I pulled my head unit out of my GTB. However, if I recall correctly, there was nothing NAV specific that plugged into the head unit. My head unit had all of the same connections as the head unit in the Jazzy AUX in writeup.

Also given my experience with the NAV & the stereo, I think the integration is as minimal as possible. For instance, when the NAV is engaged and providing audible directions, the front speakers are muted and the NAV voice plays over the front channel only. The rear speakers are not muted and continue to play music/radio/etc.. Also, the volume on the head unit does not affect the NAV volume. I have had to turn down the stereo once or twice to keep the NAV from washing out while listening to music.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ryan
