Two main reasons i think
The siting of the second turbo made it nearly impossible to make a left hand drive version.
Plus Twin turbo i suspect would have struggled to meet CA emissions.

Plus, it was a limited edition JDM model. Limited edition models are basically only sold in one intended market.

EJ20H-TT, you disappoint me. ;)
Aside from the Impreza front end, look at the Impreza door handles, fender flares, the one piece rear windows, and rear window shape. Even if you somehow put an Impreza hood & scoop, front & rear fenders, rear door skins, grill, and front bumper w/ Prova lip onto a larger Legacy, the window shapes of the cabin wouldn't change.
It's just an STi with a Prova body kit, Prova headlight covers, Prova grill insert, airplane wing, Sparco seats, Prova wheels, and a stripe down the side.

That's about the biggest F-up they or whomever is marketing for them could make. It's clearly a new Impreza model. They must have been fooled by those eye lip covers. *shake head*

The widebody kit must have been expensive. Amazing how those aftermarket bumpers shortened the car so much! Maybe Prova will make bumpers for the USDM Legacy.

It's definately an Impreza STI v.8 with Prova mod. I believed they have inserted a wrong photo in the Legacy S401 article.
