So ask away and lets get some good information out there!

Thanks!

Does a perrin/avo center/ypipe with stock cans actually add any power?
Or is the wider piping and better flowing y-section canceled out by the sudden reduction in diameter when meeting the stock cans?

Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

Heh, but seriously, how much additional power can be had from port and polishing the heads on a stock LGT?

I will address the other questions in this thread when I have hard data to answer with.

Lets hear some new questions that will give me something to answer this week.

What is your stance on lightweight pullies? It seems that a lot of tuners don't recommend them.

At what level of whp/wtq does the stock CBE become restrictive on the stock vf40? Assuming one has replaced the up and downpipes (dp catless or HFC).

Is the stock crank pulley dampened, and if so, what are the implications of replacing with a lightweight, undampened part?

OK, three weeks have gone by, maybe you could ask a question you have an answer to?

Week 1- http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28271

Week 2- http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28845

I will answer another question today. I am not going to answer the questions with posts made in this thread, I will start a new thread and answer the question there. Does that make sense?

Its a little late in the week, maybe in the weeks to come.
I asked in a different thread but this would probably be a better spot........

When already generic stage 2(up/dp) & tuned. u want to keep adding to the power/supporting mods for future-- bigger snail.

What would be the best route to add on power/support mods(bolt-on, flow helping), but hold off retune as long as possible, till everything is on? even if a bigger snail is no long a option.

Only Perrin can answer that. We should be testing a set in the next couple weeks.

Do you plan you test gains from center/y with stock cans at some point?

As soon as my motor is broken in we will post about that. This week the motor should be running. I am going to motivated to break it in, as I have not driven the car in several months! I am forced to drive my lowly Spec C 6 speed 2002 wrx wagon, ohhh, pooooooor me :)

Would an air/water ic setup in the stock location be efficient enough to run a larger turbo and more power?

The way that I read the PDX power packages, it appears that the uppipe is added first before the downpipe.

From some of the threads on this forum, a lot of people seem to believe that you can go to Cobb Stage 2 with just the downpipe and without the uppipe.

Why does PDX recommend adding the uppipe first?

The danger of the up pipe failing is just too great. Also we found with just the up pipe swap we were able to get good gains. That coupled with the price of the up pipe installed being what most downpipes start at, means that the up pipe is a reasonable starting point for the power packages.
