Hey,

I have Legacy GT Wagon and I'm hearing rattle noise coming from my MT shifter around 2500-3000 RPMs. I sounds like plastic is rubbing against something in there. What could it be? Anyone else with this noise?

I previously owned WRX and I would never hear anything like that over the noise of the engine/tranny/tires but new GT is sooo well insulated so I hear more rattles.

No problems on my end. You may want to remove the shifter boot to try and find the source. Good luck.

Is it in every gear at 2500-3000? does it happen all the time or just sometimes. Might want to get it checked out at the dealer.

It is the shifter boot, which is quite long. Just give it a tug, and you'll hear the exact sound. It goes away after a while, or you can just rearrange the folds to make it stop.

I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow when I pick up my car at the airport.

Thanks for suggestions. Noise is there on occassion (not all the time).
