Brand new...

SSR GT2 18x8.5 +48 silver (~17 lbs each)
Pirelli PZero-Nero M+S 245/45r18
McGard Wheel locks
Lug nuts

I bought a set of these off of Tire Rack for an '05 OBXT about 2 months back and have never mounted/installed them. I was waiting for new suspension components to come in to install everything at once... but at this point, I'm thinking I might hold off on the suspension work for a while.

For now, I'm thinking of going with 17" wheels instead... and am testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in picking up this set?

I paid $2,140.74 (including $60 shipping) for everything.

I am thinking of letting these go for $1900 shipped... any takers?

I am not considering selling the wheels and tires seperately at this time.

PM me if you are interested.

P.S. These are the same wheels Drewster has on his OBXT.

yea, I know, but I am sure he can sell them easier if he could unmount the tires.. great rims, but too bad that they dont fit on GTs and Is

+1 Definately cuts down on the market for that tire combo. Separate the rims/tires and they'll sell easier.

Do they have to go on an XT? Im guessing they would make my girlfriends 2.5i slower than it already is..

It looks like the XT and the 2.5i share the same wheel/tire size, so these would work for the 2.5i as well.

?! I dont think so...

isn't the XT 225/55-17 for stock size???

The 2.5i is a 205/55/16.

The tires that are being sold here is 245/45/18, and even at 245/40/18 is already too big for the GT and 2.5i (they use the similar stock ride height and spring perch clearance)..

245/45/18 is way too big on the Legacy GT/2.5i

I think he meant OB 2.5i, which it should fit, right? :icon_wink

yes, don't mind the mod grapping on a dude's thread. The recommended size is 235/45/18, so that size is only one tenth of an inch larger than stock, or as close to perfect as you can get. Perfect for any '05+ Outback.

As for unmounting tires, that usually costs money so I wouldn't do it either until I gave the set a shot first. Not everybody has a sponsor or a buddy that would do it for free for them.

^ my mistake, I kept thinking it was a comparison for a Legacy 2.5i instead I should have been thinking the OB 2.5i.

Carry on.

Those will fit a Forester XT very nicely. For an LGT you want 245/35's as the proper tire size or 225/235 40's.

Eh, on stock suspension I'm sure, as keefe has told me, that 245/35 is still too big of a tire to fit w/o rolling the fenders...

245/35/18 fits just fine. Ask BOXRPWR. He rolls on that size everyday and even fully loaded, it never rubs.

you can deal with that so long as you got the right offset.. it's 255/35/18 that gets a little it too big.

245/35/18 is close, just have to take off that rubber weather strip on the rear fender lips.

i like the look of those wheels, but as mentioned, on my LGT, i would have no use for the tires.
