New to this board, and considering the purchase of a 2005 Legacy GT (base, not Limited; I'm not fond of sunroofs).

I took an LGT (5MT) out for a test drive this past Saturday and was blown away by both the power and the A/C (both of which compared favourably to my current car, a Mini Cooper S). My partner liked the styling, the space and my choice of colour (ABP). She also appreciates that I'll be driving something with a little less "clown car" factor.

Anyway, to those interested, here are my (very sketchy) impressions from a brief test drive.

No, Adam. No work at all, other than the "how shall I finance this; over four years or five?". A nice position to be in, y'know? http://forums.clubsi.com/images/graemlins/willy_nilly.gif

By the way, love the avatar. I expect big, big things of your boy in 2005.

Yeah, they made me a moderator there; such are the joys of being a member for 4 years and sucking up to the admins. :?

I no longer have an Si (actually, I'm now on my second car since the Si, soon to be third), but it's almost a rollicking little Off Topic site that happens to get a lot of traffic (and thus provides a lot of entertainment).

Well that is fantastic to hear Christopher, if you have the money, I would go for the 4 yr option and save yrself some interest payments.

And yes, we all here in Oz are expecting big things aswell and Im more than confident that he will deliver. My family have close ties with his family, living in the same city where we all grew up. BMWWilliamsF1 will certainly be a great launching pad for his very successful career.

PS. Bring back the nose on the BMWWilliamsF1, the current one now just looks wrong and too plain.

Adam.

I know what you mean. In some ways ClubSi does eat its young. I think few participants of that site would disagree. The general attitude here appears far more laid back and mutually respectful (to the credit of everyone, I might add!)
