I stumbled upon these this afternoon and they look great:

I am really considering these now, especially for a price of 725 shipped/set!!!111 They also include a free set up lugnuts!

Only downside I can see is that they weigh in at 21lbs a piece although this isn't too big of an issue since these will likely be my street wheels.

They have a uncanny resemblence to the BBS RE wheels don't you think?

But BBS REs only come in Silver so these are choice!

Opinions on a gold or steel gray set on a RGP Leg?

how much do the stock wheels weigh (w/o tires) for the non-limited LGT ?

The non-limited and limited have the same wheels. :P

That being said Xenonk says they way a total of 43 lbs together (give or take). W/O tires is an unknown to me.

they do? so is it the 2.5i and the 2.5GT that have different wheels?

indeed you are correct.

The entire 2.5i lineup (including the 2.5 Limited) has different wheels from that of the 2.5GT.

And are they 21lbs for 17x7?

As far as I know, they only come in 18x8 and weigh in at 21lbs.

I thought the stock wheels weighed 18 lbs...
But yes those are pretty good wheels for the price, but I still love the bling of the BBS RGR's.

Inch for inch, you're probably getting about the same weight for those wheels. 21lbs for 18x8 or 18lbs for the stock 17x7 is prettymuch a horse apiece, but as the other thread noted, it will drain power ever so slightly more if that's important to you. Other than that, I think they look pretty nice.

What did you plan on wrapping around them for rubber DM?

Good question. I'm not sure right now but probably something not too pricey as I probably keeping there for street use. Any suggestions as far as somthing with good wet/dry performance goes?

You plan on AutoXing or anything else like that with them?

I'd say maybe the Proxes T1-S as now I'm an officially Toyo-biased user. There are a number of good tires out there. If really all you do is mostly street driving with some back roads, nothing that will really tear up the edges too much, I'd say even the Proxes 4's will do decently if you aren't racing. They would be slightly more forgiving for everyday driving over some more hardcore summer tires perhaps, but they aren't a slouch.

KDW-2, ECSTA MX, Yoko AVS, there's quite a few that many would recommend.

Thanks for sharing this DM! I would be really interested in the gold ones, as they seem like a really good price!

Those rims are begging for the Rota hypersilver or hyperblack treatment.

Rota makes some nice looking wheels. Have there circut 8's on our 92 Civic Si. Bought them from Revolutions Motorsports in Altoona WI. Good deal, came mounted and balanced with light weight lug nuts.

I'm leaning towards the 225/40/18 Toyo T1-S right now...$ 162.00ea at www.treadpot.com. What do you think? Would it better to go with a 235 tire on a 8" wide wheel?

Gig..Gig..Giggity, Edge Racing (http://www.edgeracing.com/tire/643/) has the same T1-S for $149 and cheaper shipping than treadepot!

Heh, nice to see that link, I forgot about them.

I'm just wondering what the Pirelli PZero Corsa weighs in stock size.

Cast or forged?

SUBE555

Rota makes a cast, maybe it's a hybrid forming technique, but it's not forged.

Update: Suby dude offers wheel/tire packages for 18"s (not listed on the site):

FALKEN FK-451 225/40R18 $ 1,364.75
FALKEN ZE-512 225/40R18 $ 1,302.95
KUMHO 711 225/40R18 $ 1,158.75
KUMHO 712 225/40R18 $ 1,220.55
TOYO T1S 225/40R18 $ 1,447.15
YOKO ES100 225/40R18 $ 1,385.35

As opposed to getting the tires from Edge racing: $631.60 Shipped
The tires from SubyDude would cost $1447.15 - $725 = $722.15 Shipped
The difference comes to $90.55. Would this difference more than cover the mounting/balancing of the wheels? Because if so...$1356.60 is much better price.

Come to think of it...my friend works at discount tire...maybe I should ask him to hook it up...

This probably sounds really bad. But I just can't bring myself to put Rota wheels on my beautiful new car. In know that there really isn't anything wrong with them, but there isn't anything right with the either (except price).

DM, not trying to disuade you... Just me personal prefference. I do think those are some nice looking wheels though.

What's not right about them? Do you think their quality is questionable?

I think they look good and apparently alot of Sube's use Rota...gotta be something right about them outside of price.

I guess I don't really know.. to be honest I have only heard bad things about a few sets of subzero's. Those rims that you posted look pretty damn bullet proof. I think that I might just be a wheel snob

I know that in the past that Rota has stood behind thier product. I think that they are more than safe to buy. I am still considering a set of Tarmac 2's with a polished lip..
