and the one youve all been waiting for...

http://photos.all.id.au/SJ_Spark_Yellow_2-0i/IMG_6081 (http://photos.all.id.au/SJ_Spark_Yellow_2-0i/IMG_6081)

It is a Ltd Ed 2.0i with 2.5i/GT wheels. I strongly suspect these wheels were on the STi GTs, so I expect to see 300 of these monstrosities. :icon_neut

Additional details include:

1. Privacy glass (another word for Jap-spec rear tinted glass)
2. Leather trim
3. Auto (well, this one was an auto)
4. STi rear spoiler
5. Twin exhaust pipes
6. Front fog lights

I remember it being stickered at about $35,500.

I think that's all. The dealership wasn't open today so I had no-one to talk to 'bout the car...

Not as bad as I imagined after reading the title, I could get used to that colour.

I don't know.....add some black wheels with a polished lip and an STi lip spoiler and I'd rock it (if it was a GT). Then again, we had a Sonic Yellow WRX.

It really doesn't sit well with me - perhaps it's not the colour, just that the colour doesn't suit the car. Not that the photos are 100% accurate either - in real life, I would describe it as somewhat mustard in hue... I do know I would never buy one!

reminds me of baby poo.

But I liked the yellow WRX when it came out... it was rare up here too!

Bluequilla? I thought her name was Elisa. She did a homebrew exhaust on it.

Could this just be a grab for attention or even a photochop. Even as a greyimport, unsure if Subaru would have approved that colour and I have never heard of any Subaru, Japan, Australia or America ever offering a Indvidual specification such as BMW offers.

PS Oh... thoughts on the colour, horses for courses....

Trust me - it ain't no photochop. Wander down to your local Subaru dealer in Melbourne & ask 'em...I bet they'll even have one by now.

I blame everyone who bought the STi for the existence of this car. To my mind, it's a way to rid themselves of the GT alloys (and maybe the standard leather interior :icon_neut ?).

My experience, unusually coloured or brightly coloured cars do not retain value in the way the vanilla choices (white, silver, black, red.. etc) do. My Dakar yellow M3 took 6 months to move.

cheers,

Hmm then again sometimes this can work in the reverse aswell but the Dakar Yellow for mine is a watered down yellow that doesnt have much appeal on the ///M3 but works in reverse for colours like Sepang Brass Metallic and Laguna Seca Blue.

If you look on drive.com.au at the moment, there are two E46 ///M3's for sale and I think these are in Sydney, is one of them yours ?

Matters did u own a E36 or E46 ///M and did u off load it for the 3.0R SpecB?
Enjoy the site and make sure u post in "Where are all the Aussies" in the International forum.
All the best.

An E36, identical to the one in drive but with a little more on the odo. I sold it a year ago. The Suby came with a new job. ;-)

I too was at STi today, walked next door to see the 2.0R.
Was not to impressed with the seats and rear lip for obvious reason but good to see they too get the weird wacky tint.
