SOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$1300 plus shipping!

Manufacturer's website:
http://www.kyh.co.jp/products/ame/shallen_cx/ame_shallen_cx.html

18x8 +38 in the rear (76mm of lip) and 18x8 +48 in the front (66mm of lip). Offset was picked to maximize the amount of lip without modifying fenders.

My fender is not rolled. The car is lowered, and had -2deg of camber in front and rear. No abnormal tire wear with 0 toe, but I went for more agressive toe setup just to try it out, and the inner edge starts to wear out quicker.

Rear lip:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/oister/subaru/CIMG0080.jpg

So the front has 10mm less lip than that.

I can take more close up picture of the wheels. They have not been curbed, and the lip is still very polished. Will sell with tires if you are local. But if you are far away, it might be cheaper to just ship the wheels only. Ther tires have good tread left on them. 215/35/18 Kumho MX. Only issue is that one of the tire picked up a nail at IKEA, it is patchable at tire shop, but I haven't bother with it yet. I will take picture of that particular puncture to show that its repairable.

Paid 550 each plus 300 shipping from Japan. Tires still have very good life left. Selling for $1500 + shipping. If you are in northern california, we can meet some where and get the deal done, saves me packing headache.

Yup, that is the same AME. They are still trying to establish a sales channel here. The US distributor is actually right next to the gun range that I frequent during lunch time to practice. Without starting any beef though, I didn't go through the official channel to get the wheels because it would have taken longer with more "run around" and "stories". Since they don't physically stock any wheels of our fitment.

I will put it on the bathroom scale tonight when I get home to find out.

hmm...I guess most comments are directed toward the bling factor, which I have no one to blame but my crappy picture taking skills...

The spokes is actually a silver color much like the stock wheel, only the lip is mirror polished. I think the picture gave the impression that the entire wheel is polish, which is certainly not the case. May be the wax really help the spokes reflect the light, but I think it was just my lack of skills.

how much do they weigh?

Wheel + tire is 38lbs. The tire itself is 19lb listed on tirerack spec page. So the wheel is 19lbs. Bathroom scale, so should be accurate to +/- a few pounds?

Ok, more pictures...
Here they are, all together:

There are plenty of treads left:

Different angles of the wheels:

Ok, here is the front wheel that picked up a nail/staple at IKEA:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/oister/AMEwheel/b4b1aa45.jpg

As you can see, just a tiny hole with no rip, any tire place can plug it and you would have a set of wheels plus tires to ride on the moment you get them.

The other 3 wheels/tires is inflated at 36lb right now, and holding pressure.

Man that's "pimp!" Would you consider a trade for SSR Professors (one's from Tire Rack) w/ Pirelli P-Zero Nero's or are these solely for sale?

I am not opposed to trading if the look of the wheel is different. Right now, I also have Work VS-SS, so if anyone wants to trade, I am interested as long as they are not 5-spokes or look like VS-SS. Cash is always better, but since I know the money will go back toward the car anyways, I am not opposed to trading for other carparts.

or this?

Man...those are my friends' cars. I am constantly surrounded by 3 sets of VS-XX, and they will ALL have better lips than me due to their offsets. I wouldn't want to have my length constantly ridiculed by them now, would I?

hahaha

How much did it cost you to get the camber adjusted?
Will you sell just the wheels? How far away is Sacramento from you?
Keefe....Will 245/35/18 fit with the camber adjusted and these wheel sizes?

Not sure, not sure of the suspension setup he is running... you can do 225/40/18 when in doubt. The 215/35/18 is slightly undersized and under load.. a 245/35/18 may not fit since it's not in the spec range that I have on my FAQ.

If you adjust camber, and have a 225/40/18, how far off will the speedo be?
Within 2%? Or does camber have anything to do with the speedo being off?

I use this nice webpage to figure out the tire size and speedo differences:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

It allow you to enter in any 2 sizes and compare. For example, I put in 215/45/17 as stock, and 225/40/18 as new, the result is:
1.9% too slow...meaning with those tires, when your speedo reads 60, you are actually traveling 61.1mph. So yeah...it falls within your 2% criterior.

you can play around with different setups and see what the real world difference is.

I chose slightly shorter tire, so effectively I changed the final ratio. I don't have any power mods yet, so that was my cheating way of getting a bit more pick up from low speed or from a stop. My cruising MPG took a hit, but nothing big, may be like 1 mpg less than before. I work local, and live 5 miles away, so cruising efficiency was not a great concern. And when I head up into the hills, the better final gearing helps a bit, at least in my imagination.

I personally like the look and it would look good on any Legacy wagon out there. You might try on NASIOC.com as well if you haven't already. Several Leggy guys over there would probably be interested.

Man...NASIOC sales forum moves so fast that after 3 hrs of posting it would be at the 10th page back...It's pretty insane there. I tried and I don't think I ever got any signs of interest, it was exactly like my luck at bars.

And I hate bumping war...
