I am thinking of trading my 03 Acura tl type s on a 05 Legacy GT limited in Regal blue. Looked at the 04 TL. Nice car, but the Legacy impressed both me and my wife and it is a lot less expenive!

In Canada the TL and GT are similar in price. Quite a mark up or price difference in US vs Canada I guess. Yes if the TL is more costly, that would be another criteria for choosing the GT.
TL has lot of toys, looks muscular, nice power, luxurious etc. Most people would like it. The clutch was a PITA for me. Steering not too responsive.
The GT is missing a few things that I like, such as HID, homelink, steering wheel stereo control, nicer stereo, telescopic steering etc. But once you take the GT for a spin, wow is what the driver can say. Of course the passengers do not feel this and might prefer the TL over the GT. Drivers' car vs Passengers' car with lot of toys to impressive people.
If both cars are to be parked and looked at only, the TL would win most people's hearts. TL IMO would impress OTHER people more, while the GT impresses the driver a whole lot ;-)

A good visual/subjective analysis for those who haven't seen the TL. The way to win the other half of the equation - those "other" people, would be to offer them an opportunity to drive your's. Then they would get it.
