The last thing I want this thing to look like is a pimp mobile.

No, they'll look great! Plus they are really lightweight! That's exactly the wheels I want but in gold or bronze!

Now I just need to figure out if I want the LE's or CE's. Hmmm I was between those and a mesh wheel like BBS, but that style seems to be abundant with subies so I was aiming for somthing different. Just don't wanna make the car look pimped out.

CE28Ns are nice and LEs are nice because of the polished lip. It's really up to you. I like the BBS style wheels too, but I can just imagine how great the CE28Ns would look on my car. Now to just fine $2k...:o

How are these guys?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7917584297&catego ry=43957

Any wheel brands to stay away from?

Hmmm... the only thing that caught my eye was the 40mm offset. I don't know if it will prevent the wheel from working on the car at all but for a 17" x 7" rim stock rim, the offset is around 52-53mm (IIRC).

Check out this thread: http://www.legacysti.com/viewtopic.php?p=35973#35973

The offset of the Volk wheel is +48, not +40, so I'm positive it will work.

I decided to go with Rota Tarmac II's in the Royal Gold finish for my LGT.
These:

The Rota 11 Tarmacs look great, but didn't someone link an article about a number of failures during autoX?

Also, does wheel come in 17/7.5? I really like them if structural is not an issue.

Anyone running 225/45/17s yet on 7.5 wheel? Yes I have read all the calculation posts, but would like to hear real on car experience. Yes I know great 215s are better than so so 225s. I plan to put P Zero M&S tires on. They seem to be higher rated and just as guiet as Toyo or Khumos???

Mtnsub, I have felt the same way about structure and heard similar things, but I only heard about failure in the Subzero's, a lighter built wheel. So I really wouldn't worry about them. I know quite a few people who have used Rota's for some time over harsh conditions without failure, they swear by them.

They need to go ahead and make Torques in 18x7.5!

The Tarmac II's come in 17x7.5 and 18x7.5 . I plan on running a 235/45R17 on them for Auto-X days. There should be no issues running 225/45R17, it would actually be beter than the 215's that come stock on the Sedans.

Also I ran a set of Rota SDR's on my WRX and had 50K on them with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

I had 3 different sets of Rotas on my WRX, Tarmac I's, SDR's, and Formels. They are awesome wheels and really the only replica brand of wheels I would ever buy. Not only are they super cheap, they aren't heavy. Not to mention they are strong and reliable. For all the subaru's running these wheels I have only heard of a few bad wheels, and they were mainly first gen wheels and all from the same batches. I haven't heard of any Rota issues in awhile though. Even still Rota has awesome support and if you ever have a problem they said they would gladly replace them for free. I even heard of people getting whole new different sets of wheels. And remember any wheel brand can break, I have seen BBS's break, Prodrive's break, and Volk's break. If you race your car like everyone did who had a broken rota, you gotta know your pushing everything to the edge and things will break.

Can't wait to see pics of the full royal gold, get those pics up soon :)

They should arrive Mon. or Tues. of next week. They will be mounted the day they get here and I will post pictures the same day. They should look pretty good on my Atlantic Blue LGT.

Nah. Not my style. I thought you might be interested. mattjk probably drove his car as often as he waxed it, so those rims are probably as good as new. Why don't you hit him up?
