We've been working hard behind the scenes on moving the LegacyGT.com site over to the latest vBulletin Forum software. The new features and security fixes are greatly appreciated and I hope all the folks who come here enjoy the new options. Please report any 'issues' that I may have missed to this thread. Current known issues:

Reviews doesn't quite work well (to be updated soon).
If your vBGarage is "missing" please reply here.

If you are seeing "oddities", flush your cache.

Enjoy!

I was wondering WTF when my cached logon was gone :)

Only issue i had was I had to do a shift refresh before the buttons in the updated editor worked.

Switch Editor?

There are three new buttons on the right, one for spell check, one to make the editing window longer or shorter and a third that says switch editor but im not quite sure what it switches, on my browser the font that im typing in gets a lil bigger and the background changes to white

It's there in Firefox. It lets you see what the message looks like (no text formatting code) as you are typing it up.

But, I don't see the spell check button.

Reading through posts it’s hard to decipher the new posts from the old posts. In the old version the new posts would be a slightly different color. Anyway to bring this view back? anyway keep up the good work!

No it doesn’t (at least for me) maybe I’m explaining it wrong…if there is a thread with say 50 posts I read it then go away for 2 hrs and come back and read the thread again (say its at 56 posts now) there is no was to determine where the 6 new posts, from the past 2 hrs start (yes I can count up 6 in this case, but normally the posts have a tan color)

If I go into read a thread, the new post would show up with a tan accent around the boarder (distinguishing them as new since the last time I was logged in), now they don’t.

None of the editing buttons work, either in Quick or Advanced mode (ie buttons to bold text... insert image.. etc, none work! :( ) Using Firefox 1.0.7 *sniff* And it looks like the editor is taking things in as straight HTML and not parsing it, ie I enter new lines but after posting it's all in one line.

Tide

Probably a cache issue starlabs.

Tide

Sorry Rich I don't see what you're talking about. Maybe you could take a screenshot and illustrate it. I don't recall any tan border anywhere on the site and have both templates old and new still running, and can't find what you are referring to. It is also possible the border did not show on Safari but I don't own a PC to look. Does anyone else see this?

well i've decided that it has to do with the enhanced wysiwyg editor (at least on my machine) --

so if i go to the basic or standard editor things are much more sane.

Some of the threads are wider than my screen, some are twice as wide as my screen (i.e., must scroll to right to read sentences).

I can't say with 100% certainty that this didn't happen before, but it seems more frequent after the update.

Anyone know what cause this?

When I try and access legacygt.com it auto-redirects me to http://legacygt.com/profile.php which then pops up with a 404 not found error.

I think this is a vbulletin issue because it happens on other forums that use the same software.

I was using firefox 0.8, just updated to 1.07 and same thing happens.
Cleared cache as well and no help.

EDIT: Ohh yeah, this only happens the first time I try and access the website. So if I hit my legacygt bookmark, it redirects me to the profile.php page, if I hit my legacygt bookmark again, I go to the legacygt homepage without being redirected.

If you are at work and they use a proxy server to help save bandwidth, then certain files (javascripts) may be cached on their server causing the issue. It should work itself out or you may need to kick the IS team.

Third: Why are you using a MAC?

1. Because I love it for its simplicity, design and reliability (usually...)

2. A page that states "Thank you for logging in, DrGT. Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you". Then I go back to the homepage, unlogged. I was not getting that "wellcome" page before.

3. Because I always find it a bit strange to hit a "Start" button to shoot down a computer ;) BTW, I have to do it often (restart) when I use a pc...

4. Lets find a way to fix these bugs .... and not start ANOTHER Mac / PC argument. You know it will never end!

5. BTW why do you own a Subaru???

Yeah, that would be an easy fix. My computer skills are not very high, but I thought about this one already.
But cookies are ok.

It's Mac as in Macintosh, not MAC as in MAC Address. :p

I only use Macs as well, but I don't use IE thats just silly. :D

Anyone having issues with our default style can also try the VBulletin Style. You can change styles at the bottom of any page. We'll still work on fixing our default style but wanted to let people know there is another option.

Just logged back in after having firefox crash on me again. It is unpredictable, I'll be going in and out of threads using the back button, no problem. Then one time I'll click on the back button and FF crashes. Doesn't happen on any other vbulletin site ( I visit quite a few).
And just to be clear, I'm not bitchin. I can live with it, just thought you'd want to know.

I CAN log in using IE on my Mac, but get only the left half screen, Kind of boring.
Plus Bill Gates is not my favorite friend ;)

With Safari, I am able to access to homepage using http://www.legacygt.com/
but not to get logged in successfully.
As I explained before, I am recognized by the site as DrGT, but I am always redirect back to the homepage but still unlogged.
If I reset Safari, everything is ok for my first visit, but I get the same problem as soon as I get back.
My cookies are unabled, I emptied my cache and reset a fewetimes.

I get the same behavior from Netscape mac 7.1 and Firefox mac 1.0.6.

Could it be because of my Airport settings???
I installed an Airport base around the same time you updated the site.

I have now upgraded to FF 1.0.7. Cookies are activated, cache has been emptied.

Still the same problem :(

I will call tech support at Apple tomorow to see if my Airport base has something to do with this.

Thanks for your efforts everybody!

I've made a minor adjustment to the cookie settings and it should hopefully fix it for the few users that were having issues. Of course they may need to reset cookies one more time.

Still working on the IE problem, the VB Default theme will work for you if you want to use IE, meanwhile I'll keep hunting down the issue with our theme.
