Legacy 12v power outlet for cargo area

All these parts are genuine Subaru OEM parts, not from 3d party manufacturers! Since we want to verify that there are no installation problems on our USDM models with these EDM parts, initial quantities will be limited.

Watch the for sale forums! We'll post the items as soon as they are available.

Thanks

Excellent!! Many owners would like the grilles. The roof console thing looks pretty nifty, as I've heard there's not too many places to store things in the car. Also, the 12V power outlet thing won't work in the sedan, huh? Not that I can think of anything I'll use it for.

The grille is sweet and the rain guards look slick!

Nice choice of parts.

I would be interested in the rain guards (since water running off the roof into the car happens regularly), the roof console (depending on how much additional useable storage it offers), the 12v outlet and possibly the grill (depending on how it looks on a USDM model).

SNAP! I really like those grills. I haven't seen the Legacy 3.0 grill before. I was also wondering if the cargo area power point is prewired on the wagons or not? I will probably take one if the car is already wired! SWEET! Now check on some headlights :D (sans-yellow turn signal)

The "knock-out" for the power point is there, but I haven't checked on wiring yet.
The headlights I should have pricing on tomorrow or so, and I hope to squeeze a set in this order still. We'll see how that works out.

How are your prices?

From my experience, Eddy is fair. He isn't a lowballer like many vendors. His prices reflect the best that he can do, usually. It's a smallish outfit, it would be good to remember.

As an aside, I know it's just me, but as this site becomes a vendor target, it would be nice to more rigorously screen them. The "I can sell it for $5 less than him" stuff that I see on other boards is silly, because it doesn't really help the consumer. After a while the prices get so low that something has to go...knowledge, inventory, service are often casualties.

I believe the one from Oz had just the grille, not the body piece.

Actually its the same one as from Aus. If you look at the Aus. web page they have the exact same picture actually. Its kind of like the STI grille on the 02/03 wrx's, so I like it :)

I agree with Kevin, and I know that cc-b is a good vendor from thier rep on NASIOC. We need a vigorous screening schedule for new vendors though. This is not the place to discuss this though..

I will most likely take some parts! The power outlet is pending the wiring. I would think that it should be there.

That's why initially we are only getting a few of each item. We'll install them and take some "real world" pictures. Catalog shots are nice, but you get a better idea seeing the items on a "real" car.

Rain guards are fairly straight forward, if they're like the WRX ones. A bunch of clips you install and backed up by double stick tape.

Thanks for lead to this thread racerdave.
Anyone else think grills would look better without Subaru emblem? If am going to buy a new grill, I want pure asthetics. This is good news about potential part, but is badge optional or easy to take off?

I guess a way to modify stock grill and fit a black mesh screen is not a good/quality approach or it has not been investigated?

Rain deflectors look good/practical, but overhead bin looks like what it is, an afterthought that is a bit bulky and stuck on, not built in, IMO, but it looks like they did a nice job on finish and function.

racerdave
09-09-2004, 04:16 PM
As for the plain black mesh grille, I'm not sure anyone in the US has played with it.

I'd have a hard time believing someone in Japan or Oz hasn't done this already...

Mhhm, I gotta check my settings here, because I receive no forum notifications.

That being said: we were in the middle of moving our web site over to a new host, which went a tad less smooth than expected.
The rain guards are only now just leaving Europe. Subaru kinda botched the order and, combined with the month of August when everybody in Europe seems to go for an extended siesta, caused some major delays.
Everything should be here in the US by next week friday.

No, we do not get updates when someone replies to this thread.... I don't know why....

Nendo: can you be more specific? I don't recall what you ordered...

For those people that ordered earlier: It did state on our web site that these items were NOT in stock! We apologize to those people that expected immediate delivery.

We got about 1/10th of what we ordered in, so we will ship out what we have. I have another shipment leaving by the end of the month, and I hope the rest of this shipment plus our remaining parts will be in that order. We are fully dependant on Subaru, and they are having trouble filling the orders.

Why is it so hard to get a reply e-mail or phone call? I've tried to check up on the status of my order and have left message with your message service and even spoke with Kathy but still no answer. Not good customer service. People may be okay waiting for a product but lack of response make us wonder what's going on. let us know what's up. so is there anyone else that we can go through that's reliable?

i read this thread from the start and thought that it was great that this guy is local...but in the end seem to forget the simple concepts of business and customer satisfaction.

it could be that he and his crew are busy as hell, but even if that's the case, it's no excuse. :(

Let me reiterate: WORST 189 DOLLARS I'VE EVER SPENT AND WORST PLACE I'VE SPENT IT. THEY DO NOT ANSWER E-MAILS AND CARE NOT ONE IOTA ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUY THESE IF YOU MUST, BUT DO NOT BUY THEM FROM CC-B. Know what I mean?

The problem is that cc-b is a part-time gig for Eddy. His wife seems to be left with running the show. It is unfortunate because with good service they should be able to have a great business. I also agree on the e-mail front. They never answered any of mine either.

Nice to know the reason, but that still falls under the "Not my problem" category. Either do business or not.

I'm pretty easy going, always prepared to cut someone a deal, I'll do whatever I can to help out here and there, and I sell Subaru stuff because I'm as much a Subaru enthousiast as the next guy on these boards. You can find me at the local thursday meet just about every time, but unfortunately lately circumstances have not permit me to go a lot. Ask most of the locals and they'll tell you that* I am just as average as the next guy, and most of the people I hang out with at the meet I consider my friends and had them over at my house for BBQ's, christmas parties or any other lame ass excuse we could come up with to just hang out and BS.

All that being said, and venturing into the territory of "arguing on the internet, even if you win......": You are severly getting on my nerves. Enough is enough. You are repetitive and annoying, and should find something else to do.

Here's my excuse for hardly being able to do anything else but a dayjob, and I dare you to make a wisecrack about it. BTW: that package was delivered two months ahead of schedule:

Well, at least something went ahead of schedule. You're annoyed by me? Look at all the people annoyed with you. Either run a business or don't.

EDIT: twins are a hadn full- my brother has them- best of luck.

I don't much care about how long it takes... are any of these items still available through you?

I want the rainguards REAL BAD... and probobly would be interested in the roof console eventually...

So realistically how long would it take to get a set of rainguards for how much shipped to ct?

well, from observing the posts before this one, if you order now, you should be getting your parts sometime around the time hell freezes over:eek:

Geez- I insulted the guy and he didn't even post back
You have little to no chance of getting him to post just because of a business he doesn't care to work on more than 8% of the time

You know what? This is nothing but aggravation and disappointment for all but a person or two. Let CC-B make a new thread if they decide to become a halfway decent vendor.
