SOLD

It's an HKS carbon-ti universal muffler (carbon fiber canister and blue torched titanium tip) welded to a single peice custom bent 2.5" pipe, cat to muffler. Just to make sure there isn't any confusion, this isn't the wrx specific cat back from HKS, but it WILL bolt right up to an impreza, and from what I understand, a legacy as well. Since it's all one big peice, shipping really isn't an option. What I will do for you is hold on to it till a pre-arranged date, and you can come to my house and I'll help you install it.

I'm in the sewickley area of Pittsburgh btw.

The Condition

I'm going to be very picky in my description to avoid any suprises (nobody likes those) to the point of almost exaggerating, so don't get scared off by any of this until I get pictures up.

The titanium tip: This is the 120mm tip (~4.75"). It hasn't taken any hits or damage, but doesn't have the lustre that it did brand new. This is to be expected I guess, and from what I hear there's a nice cleaner out there that will get it shining like it was new.

The C/F canister: Also hasn't taken any damage. It's got some dirt/dust on it and will wash up and look very spiffy.

The hangers: As you know you can't weld steel to c/f lol. The canister comes with a ring that bolts around it, and hangers are welded to that. Mineke did the work on this exhaust (and did a suprisingly good job) but one of the welds under the hanger broke. I took it to them and they fixed it right up, but the ring doesn't fit totally snug any more. I'll take detailed pictures. To me it's really not a big deal, the muffler is still constrained just as well.

The piping: Should be in great shape to the best of my knowledge. To be honest I haven't looked at it for a few weeks probably, but I have no reason to beleive there's anything wrong. I will take pictures.

My reason for selling: I've decided I want the look of a stainless steel twin tip muffler. I liked this exhaust very much (fell completely in love with the sound and I dearly hope I'm not disapointed by whatever I find to replace it) and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too. Sorry for the long write up, but I feel details and honesty are very important to any transaction.

This is of my car and shows the exhaust a little bit:

If someone more knowledgable on the compatability of WRX/legacy exhaust systems could comment on it just to clear any fog on the issue it would be much appreciated.

I'm gonna do this semi-auction style: offer me 260 and it's yours (the buy-it-now-price) or make me another offer and the highest at the end of the week (saturday at midnight) takes it.

I'm pretty sure that won't fit the new Legacys without some modification just by looking at it..

What sort of modification would be necessary? I'd be willing to help out with that if needed.

For starters.. there would need to be two of them. I don't think there would be anyway it would fit.

The BP/BL legacy can use only 1 muffler just like the WRX does. However, the WRX muffler is not just a simple bolt-on. It would require cutting the Legacy midpipe off before the Y and then fabricating piping to go from there to the muffler. I'm sure the hangers will need to be redone, too.

The image below is of a legacy midpipe.

EDIT: After comparing lots of photos of stock Impreza (JDM and USDM) cat-backs to Legacy B4 cat-backs...the shape and hanger location is very close. It may actually be a close fit as-is.
