What do you guys think about a monthly meet? I don't think we have enough people for a weekly meet and then everebody is always busy nowdays. But if it's a monthly meet, people will try to come out, especially if it's a set date.
How about last Saturday of the month or maybe anybody have a better idea. Where do you guys want to meet.? Any input will be appreciated

yeah, it looks like everyone is spread out between SF, East Bay and South Bay. The ideal meet up place would be somewhere in the middle of Peninsula like San Mateo or Redwood shores.

What do you guys think about meeting last Friday of every month.
How about first meet on Friday Oct 28 7 or 8 pm so everybody can make it. The only problem is finding a good place. I agree with chokokai that since everybody is spread out around the bay we should meet up in the middle like San mateo or Redwood city. If anybody knows a good place there let me know. I can also contact Jeremy from Crucial Racing, so we'll have a vendor and a suby specialist presented.
I wanna know what everybody thinks about a monthly meet.
BTW Forrester xt, you do count my turbocharged brother:)

Also, Friday traffic in the San Mateo Area is awful! I suggest maybe we can do Sat afternoon meet also so people from outside Bay Area can come.

Hmmm, perhaps to flush out a place to meet we should decide what we want to do when we do. I haven't been to owner's meet before, so maybe I'm missing something here. Do we want to just meet up, check out each other cars? A place that has good food and space for us to pop the hoods? Meet up at one place, then cruise together up into the hills? Meet, cruise, eat, check-out (in no particular order, sort-of)?

If you guys wanted to set up a dyno day/BBQ it would be very easily achievable. Ed from EQ Tuning (www.eqtuning.com) and I would pick up the food costs. The only catch is that it would have to be up in Davis so Ed can road dyno the cars :)
....he wrote the road dyno software himself, btw. He's a software engineer. It takes into account all the gear ratio and final drive + tire size info, of course, the weight of the car + drivers, actual coefficient of drag, frontal surface area, etc.... I went from his place w/ road dyno numbers to the Mustang dyno here and my HP was WITHIN 1 HP and about 2 lb-ft of what the Mustang read. Insane!
Plus doing it on the road is much less stressful to your car. And tuning on the road just produces the smoothest, most accurate, best possible tunes!!!
Jeremy
btw -- Why in Davis: farm land. Long, straight, flat, desolate roads in the middle of nowhere with no traffic and no houses or cross streets for miles. Couldn't possibly be a better place to road dyno/road tune... but yes, if you're Mr. Law Abiding Citizen then... well....

If it's in the west bay I can make it. Davis is bit out of range. Gas prices are getting better, but not that much better. Amici's is cool.
Given that we are taking about this weekend, and we still haven't agreed on a place, we might have to push out a little further. Besides, I have to find some sort of costume for the crazy parties this weekend.

I have way too much school and work to do anything as time-consuming as getting the meet together all by myself:( . I'm just trying to point to the right direction and get some kind of initiative going from you guys. Of course we can meet up later and arrange something way beforehands, but nobody even tried before me, right?
I started a thread out of curiosity to see how many of us are around, and it turned out that we have a bunch of people in the Bay that are eager to meet, but nobody has any suggestions or wants to take charge, common guys we can do better than that.

Nice guys! Looks like you had a good turn out. Sorry I missed it. Guess now we are gaining momentum as a local group, we should schedule some install/upgrade fests at some point like suggested above. I'd be happy to swap suspension install knowledge (put my own iON's in, JDM RSB) for exhaust install knowledge!

I used invisaguard for my clearbra. Diffanatally recommend him: 707-328-5865. And he comes to you :). He drives a STI. He does a lot of top end and exotic's. I had my tint done in Santa Cruz, through the dealier so I don't remember who did it. Welcome though.

There is a thread going to try and pick a date in November. Honestly, don't think it's going to happen at this point. If there was more people in already, I'd puch to make it happen. But, life events dictate my free time is short right now.
