Thankfully, just caught up with this site and immediately registered. I've been a long-time member of a couple of "Impreza" sites (at least the past five years) and was delighted to finally find a "Legacy Only" forum for this wonderful vehicle. I still have all five of our Subarus - 1 96 OBS (Soon to be WRX Sedan), 1 01 Forester S (Soon to be 05 FXT) and 3 Legacys - 2 98 BD GTs (1 4EAT, 1 5MT - Soon to be 05 LLGTW), 1 99 BK. I've owned Subes since 1974 and other than a 67 MG Midget that I'm restoring and an 87 BMW 325 Coupe that I picked up to fix up and sell, we're all about anything Subaru. Love to talk about them, work on them and, hopefully, when I finally get the time, build one and track it.
Because I keep the local dealer happy with routine service on all five, I have a great relationship with them and they've been very good to/with me and I can't say enough good things about the service network. Many times, I'll pick up an issue in one of these forums and talk to my servicer manager/tech writer/tech about it to see if they're hearing or seeing the same issues. If there's a correlation, I'll drop some info back in here so let me know if there's something you might want to get an independent assessment or even an opinion from the guys on the maintenence/repair side of the line and I'll see what I can do.
Also, just noted that there's an opportunity to help support this site. I'm adding my support and encourage you all to do the same. Believe me when I say I know that bandwidth does not come cheap and with increasing demand, it's not going to get cheaper any time soon so let's all do what we can to keep this alive.
And finally a Legacy Haiku (traditional Japanese poem constructed of specific syllable lenghts - five, seven, five - and typically contains some reference to the seasons ):
Spring was too soon past
Winter time Legacys rule
Prep for winter now
Best regards (Br), Dale :)
