Do you enjoy a nice drive on the back roads? Will you drive the extra few miles, just to drive instead of being stuck in traffic? Do you enjoy new adventures, trying your hand at new skills, and have a partner who is willing to come along?

If so, then you might be interested in this.

This is a map based rally, where you will be given approximate locations of the checkpoints, and the exact time you are expected to be there. ALL checkpoints can be reached following the legal speed limits, but sometimes, when you get lost ;) , you find yourself in a rush to get there on time.

It's a LOT of fun, as some of the members of another Subaru site can tell you, and in the end, you learn about some really nice roads you'd have never considered, or known about.

How fun! Maybe I can get my roommates to come out. How long do you think the event will take? Or rather, what time do you expect it to end?

They usually run around 4.5 to 5 hours of drive time, then scoring and awards at the end take another .5 to 1 hour. It's really fun, you get to hear commentary on the roads from other drivers, and afterward, you get to enjoy the plaque/trophy/award that you win. The Porsche rallies are nice because Rector Porsche usually offer up some little trinket for SWAG...nothing too expensive, but it's fun anyway.
