Which one of these is your favorite.

Do you even have to ask?

Considering I've been semi-heavily driving on un-plowed country roads for the last couple years, RallyX, can you guess it? That's right, the Beauty of AWD!

Might I say a Spec C active differential?
It can even be set as a rear wheel drive.
The best of both worlds.

Otherwise AWD (and I do not even live in a place that snows :) )

Cheers

Nick

Yeah, for summer driving, RWD is a little bit more fun, or at least a more RWD bias. Have yet to have the diff set in lock on snow in my buddys STi. Alright now I know what we have to try out next time I'm over. :D

Every time it rains here in Florida (daily during the summer) I'm eternally greatful for the beauty of AWD! :D

Should have added a poll to this.

Can I vote for the ATTESA type AWD? RWD until extra help is needed is a great compromise.

You can - i've never been a fan of this system - can get unsettled if conditions too slippery.

I heard ATTESA is a wee bit heavy too. The RWD burnouts and then to a supposed AWD is about the coolest thing of the system. Got a vid of Nagata from Top Secret doing one in a tunnel. ;)

AWD
no doubt

RWD is better for track racing.

It is no more heavy than the addition of AWD onto any other car. I'm guessing that a RWD Legacy could weigh in about 150-200lbs lighter. SUBE, that's a difference like driving with or without your girlfriend. ;)

Girlfriend, my girlfriend is my car. So that's a 3200Lb girlfriend? :D

I won't go there. Big girls need love too. What is it they say? Fat girls try harder. (whatever that means)

Fat Girls are like mopeds, fun to ride till you get caught on top of one.

I'm an avid snowboarder, so I need awd and I hate driving trucks/suv's etc.

It would be nice to get the awd system off of the Spec C or like the Atessa system.

is legacy's AWD system kinda like infinity g35 AWD??
except it doesn't go 10:90 or 90:10

No, team23, Subaru Symmetrical AWD is extremely different from ATTESA. It is split 50:50 f/r in the manual tranny cars and 45/55 f/r in the automatics. Then, depending on which wheels are slipping, it sends power to the other(s). The only difference on the Spec C is like the STi with DCCD and a front LSD.

Spec C gets virtually same setup as USDM STi.

The Legacy setup will likely be basically the same as the FXT though with different ratios including the FDR.

ALL Subaru AWD systems are very similar. Remember, Subaru's are like Legos. :)

Definitely Full-time AWD except if it was bone dry and I was road course racing or something, then I may want RWD
