Anyone want a set of Outback XT wheels, 7x17 et 48mm with or w/o tires. Wheels pretty much in same condition as when new with no curb damage, tires are the awesome Bridgestone RE-92A, 225/55-17 and have maybe 1.5 - 2k miles on them? updated with pricing. $450 wheels only. $650 wheels and tires. Fair? (willing to ship wheels only if buyer pays actual shipping costs, wheels will be boxed individually).

Andrew, I sold mine as well, but now wish I would have kept them. I did find another set of 17" rims and am putting on some studdless winter tires for winter time.
What are you going to be doing for winter rims and tires?
bump for a good guy and some great rims!!!!! :)

I'm thinking of running some 17x8 wheels with enough clearance for a BBK. Sale of wheels suspended for now until appropriate boxes are available unless there is local pickup interest.
I've been waiting for you to replace your brakes so i know what can go wrong. What's holding you up? :D

Well, I have been put on a spending hold...not only by Betsy, but me as well. We are most likely gonna contract on a new house next week, ground up construction, so the mod game has transfered from the cars to the house. I have been told I can add all the toys I want for the house and the garage, including a lift if I so desire :D. Mod list includes stainless everything, granite everywhere, hardwood, sound systems, 3 fire places, blah, blah, blah.
So, until this house is built, landscaping is done, deck built, garage finished with power, lighting, and the lift, the car is gonna be on the side for a while...just gonna drive it, and make it do with the OEM brakes  LOL.
I think if I were gonna go BBK, I would either do StopT's or the LGT with upgraded pads and rotors....most likely LGT upgrade, since it is a daily driver and all.
i have wheel boxes for you if you need them ;) You just need to swing by my house and pick them up ;)

That sounds nice- maybe this is cheesy, but I've always wanted a garage with a checkerboard floor.

TOTALLY, I am gonna have the checkerboard, and the white finished walls, and all stainless cabinets for the garage and tool boxes, etc. Enough lighting to blind you, and hard lines for air compressor plug ins....every 6 ft. This will only be one bay that is fully done up, with everything, the rest will be sealed with the epoxy floor, and everything will be in cabinets, nothing open or showing. Clean, bright, and race car oriented. I have some street lights and walk/don't walk lights, and a ton of other car memorables that I will have out there. It is gonna be KICK ASS....so Jedi, no, it is not Cheesy at all, it is a dream!!!
back on topic...Andrew, sorry for the hijack, again, another bump for some kick ass OEM rims from an awesome guy....for local pick up only though, as he does not have boxes for shipping ;)

Will they fit 05 outback 2.5I ? Will the ride be much worse than stock?
I am looking to by winter wheels and tires but could use yours for summer and my old wheels for winter. What is offset between my 05 and you XT?

I will be in SEA later this week

I think these wheels w/ some low profiles tires will look kick ass on the Legacy...chop anyone?

outback 2.5i wheels:
16x6 et48mm, 225/60-16
tire width = 6.5"
tire diameter = 26.5"
outback xt wheels:
17x7 et48mm, 225/55-17
tire width = 7.0"
tire diameter = 26.9"
both tire measurements taken from tirerack.com and based on the bridgestone re-92 tire.
so you'll gain 4/10" in diameter and 1/2" in width. Ride quality, probably a wash since you're gaining a bit of height, yet also running a slightly lower profile tire. Probably a slight cornering advantage with the 1/2 wider wheel.
Since I didn't state a price initially, I guess I should do it now....
wheels only $450, wheels and tires $650? You guys think that's fair? If not pipe up and I will reconsider pricing.

So do these fit over LGT front brakes? It seems the Offset is 7mm less. Where are you located? Or rather how much would just the wheels be shipped to 95841?

Am am in decision mode right now. My buddy has some 16 in wheels off his 2003 he will sell me for 75.00 and I will put snow tires on them.
Or...I do like the look of the 17's and could use your wheels for summer and my wheels for winter. But that will cost 150.00 more for the look.
I am still abit concerned about whether I will notice the ride diff with lower profile tires.
Hmmmm
I will let you know tommorrow.
Ps I hate these stock tires, so I would be looking at wheels only. Are those the wheels in the picture above? Are the the same as the 2006 outback 2.5I? I like the 06 wheels. These look pretty similar.

Don't know the weights yet but I would estimate boxed it will be 25 lbs x 4, shipped from 98199 (seattle). You can probably do a online estimate thru ups or fedex ground.

MarkHonestly I wouldn't be concerned about the lower profile and ride difference, if anything what tire you put on will have more of a factor in terms of ride comfort and performance than just the fact that you are going a bit lower in profile.
I think the '06 2.5i wheels are either 6 or 7 spokes and more rectangular in shape, doesn't flair out like these.
And yes those are the wheels. They are already off the car and stored in plastic bags. Thanks.

thanks for all your time and effort. I went to schwab today to se what I could by for tires in 17 inch and was a little disappointed at the reduction ov choices over the 16 inchers. Plus the tire are quite abit more. I think I will go conservative and stay with 16 inch wheels. But I really do appreciate your help in this matter.
