how old are you?
I'll be 34 when the cars gets insured in Oz, clean license, but don't know if I can transfer any no-clains from JP.
Who did you have in mind?

Try NRMA (it is the states national car club and usually has fairly resonable prices), AAMI (it is an insurance company but usally also has fairly good prices). If they dont want to insure an import or are offering high prices try 'just cars' it specialises in import car insurance, however it seems to have higher premiums than the others. These are the main ones i can think of. Good luck getting your no-claims transferd from JP.

Have you ever driven on australian road by the way? If you havent you might want to go for a lot of long drives on the beautiful roads you have over there in JP, because our roads down here are CRAP, and i mean CRAP.
Thanks for the help.
Beautiful roads in Japan - not in my neck of the woods, all the ones here are either being dug up, on express ways with big expansion joints or just glorified cemented donkey tracks!
