Parade lap at Laguna Seca anyone? [Archive]

Hi all-

I'll be going to the ALMS races at Laguna Seca the weekend of October 14-16. The main event (a 4-hour twilight race) is on Saturday the 15th, so I will definitely be there then. I am debating whether or not I want to go on Sunday the 16th, but then I noticed that they're doing parade laps again this year. One escorted parade lap (Sunday only) is $25, and a Sunday general admission (includes a paddock pass) is $20:

If anybody else is interested in this, it might be cool to get a few LGT's out there together, and maybe even have someone snap a few pictures for us. Also, for those of us who have never done it before, we'll be able to say we've taken a lap on one of the most famous race tracks in the world. Now that's what I call a meet. :rolleyes:

So, what do you think? Is anybody up for this?

Yeah, we have those parades here in NY too. I'm no homophobe, but I'm not sure I'd want to drive my car in it.

Porsche is suppose to be back in the ALMS series with their prototype LMP2 car running at Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca.

Well, the races were cool and the parade lap was even cooler. Out of the 100 cars there, I was the only Legacy GT. Maybe next year we can double our numbers and get two LGTs out there. :D

I was there, but I didn't drive my LGT. I rode down in my buddies Outback (2nd gen).
