I've been doing a ton of research and after driving the '05 legacy gt limited wagon I feel in love and left with a brand new atlantic blue perl gt limited wagaon. It's unbelievable how the car handles and the turbo pickup rivals my old integra rs turbocharged. I love the new car, only complaint is the wind noise with the sunroof or windows open, must be the longer wagon allowing more wind to buffet, outside of that I'm completely satisfied. I'm looking at doing some mods though nothing crazy at first, thinking an 1" drop and +1 wheels, window tinting, and the clear bra (3m) protection.
