I really think there should be some new regional forums made, at least for the regions aside from certain particular areas, like:
-Alaska/Northwest
-Cali/Hawaii
-Southwest
-Rocky Mountain
-Midwest/Great Lakes
-New England
-TriState
-MidAtlantic
-Southeast
-South Central
-Canada (could be individualized)
-Pacific Rim (could be individualized)
-Europe
It might seem like a bit much, but just wait til the people start rolling in and things will get hektic and confusing. Might want to do it early on and minimize confusion.

California will probably end up divided between northern and southern.

Well, that's open to discussion, but kust dividing the other sections north-south with a huge swath is ludicrous IMHO. Texas and Wisconsin meets in same thread is totally off-base.
As interest and memberships expands, so will the regional forums, don't worry. ;)

Got a problem with sharing room with the South, boy? Sharing a thread and sharing a forum are different. Heck, there are few enough people in here as it is. I hardly find it a problem so far.

Only one more addition for now, I think we need a Rocky Mountain Region.

Actually the California board could be divided by "Left" and "Right". You could have the tree hugging non-turbo wagon drivers with the "Free Tibet" stickers on their back bumper on the "Left" and the fully street tuned GT turbo sedan drivers on the "Right". :o

Your underlying political reference is to funny. I have a Subaru case that I put on the roof of the WRX for camping, it's covered with hippy stickers saying things like "The best things in life aren't things" and "One less SUV" and "Fight TV Addiction" and "Peace is Patriotic" etc. I get some interesting looks from other road users  Of course, I have no stickers on the actual car.
Cali already is divided into Left and Right, its called Northern California (bay area) and Southern California (LA). :D

I know this is my first post here since I frequent NASIOC all the time. I'm disappointed there isn't a Tri-State forum here yet. It's usually one of the busiest since it mainly includes NY, NJ, and CT. Right now the closest region I see to NY is New England. For now I'll be patient, I'm looking forward to being a regular over here. I know it takes time to build a large membership and gain momentum for special forums. 8)

Tide, is there a way we can get the Texas forum renamed to South Central forum to better reflect that region as a whole?

Yep, agreed. That's what Sube had "recommended" up top, and it would be much more fitting. There get to be a lot of states that don't get included. I know Oklahoma and Arkansas people head down to Dallas events, and vice versa. Houston may be a little far though.
