Subarus tamed the Dragon last weekend:
www.tailofthedragon.com
I got home last night after putting nearly 1000miles on my car in 4 days
It was a total blast, the roads up there are like nothing else!
It was great hanging with my Scooby family that I only get to see once or twice a year, and it was great meeting other Legacy owners (we were pretty well represented up there).
Post up pictures and vids if you've got 'em!

Check out www.killboy.com. He's there most weekend snapping pictures. You might be there.
Did you only do the dragon? No Blue Ridge, or Cherohalah Skyway?

I only recorded the Dragon, but ADirtyLegacy and I hit up the Foothills Parkway on Friday, also drove through Piegon Forge on 441 and hit up Gattlinsburg to see the General Lee on display at Cooter's Garage :D.. Saturday, we all hit up the Cherohalah Skyway to the Tellico Plains for lunch, and hit back up the Dragon for the afternoon Killboy shots. A couple of us hit the Dragon in the rain and fog at night, that was umm, interesting ;)

My first time on the Dragon was on my Aprilia. It was raining, and I got stuck behind a Mary Kay minivan.
I really like the skyway and the BRP, the Dragon is fun every now and then, but I think it's a little overblown.
What's the name of the BBQ joint in Tellico plains?

sweet pics!! i think i only took maybe 5 pics the entire trip! Keefe's driving tips improved my dragon driving alot from when i was there in Jan. the drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was awesome, save for some dude in a Jimmy burning up his brakes on a killer corner! i'll get around to getting my few pics up tomorrow.

IMO, 4 LGT's is a good turnout concidering that most enthusiasts will buy a WRX or STi before they buy a LGT.
There were 4 LGT's (3 05's, one 02) and one 05 Legacy 2.5i.
And Kenda, I'm right there with ya, I only took about 5 pics :(
Last year I took over 200!

I would have taken more, but everyone was doing everything at different spots, and it was hard to catch people on the dragon for me since I did more driving than actually photoing at some of my favorite corners at the Dragon.

I drove from Iowa to the Dragon for the SV Rally that was going on the same weekend. I saw/talked to a couple of you at Fontana Village. It was nice to see some Legacy's and talk to some of the owners as I am ordering one here soon. There was a couple times I wasn't very happy with some of the subie cars as they crossed the double yellow on me. Not a good thing when your riding a bike.
Anyway, I stopped about half way through the dragon and took some pictures of our riding group going through some corners. At one point I was just holding the button down and taking pictures without looking. Here is one of the pictures I got. I believe the lead car is keefe. I find it funny that this picture turned out so well.
Oh, whoever had the white Legacy wagon that stopped on the dragon..Thanks for letting me look at your car.

Great picture!
And that was me that stopped on the Dragon and spoke with you!
Sorry that we had a few double yellow crossers :(
Can you give a description of the car so we can jump all over them? (And blue subaru with gold rims won't help out much  )
I hope you guys figure out who the SV'ers and GSXR's that were PASSING us on the Skyway Saturday morning were... I'd like to smack those guys a few times
By the way, have you seen the 06 Spec-B yet?

Crash, good thing you didn't live up to your name while on the dragon. lol
I do remember one subie that crossed over...it was a red wrx wagon. The other one happened on the dragon and i don't remember what car it was. I was just thinking about getting around the corner and not getting killed.
I know for sure it wasn't me that passed you guys on the skyway. I was going to slow for that to happen.
I have only seen the crappy pictures here on the forum of the spec B.

I love that cone cam setup by the way. How much did it run you?
Xenonk

I have the old cone cam ($120 as a kit)... the new one has a mic and better rez which can cost up to $255 for the new kit (also it's a better looking design). www.cone-cam.com
You still need a recording device.. anything that can accept a RCA plug will do. I use to use a Clarion Super Hi-Fi VHS with my WRX.. But now with the GT, I use a Canon ZR100 Camcorder that has video input recording (it's about $290 shipped).
You'll also need a camera mount for the car (I bought the large 3-cup version from www.cone-cam.com) which is about $60? It can hold about 75 lbs worth of stuff (but no camera weighs that much so it's safe to put the 6 oz. cone-cam on it).
So the total comes out to be anywhere from $400 to $700 (depending on the equipment you buy).
