Howdy, I am in the market for a new car and some people have suggested looking into a Subaru Legacy GT. After reading about it I think it fits almost exactly what I am looking for in a car. I am looking for something that has good straight line performace, able to fit 4 adults, be reliable, manual transmission and cost under $30,000. From the numbers the Legacy GT seems to have it all.
Anything that an interested buyer should be aware of before buying one?

When considering the purchase of this vehicle, don't forget to budget for speeding tickets... it's a blast to drive and is deceptively quick. :)

...and mods..
Been looking at boost gauges, accessport/ecutek with their computer based gauges (looks sweet), NAV systems, tint, subwoofer/speakers, mp3 changer... and then I get a sinking feeling as I total all of that up in my head, even before I've taken delivery 8)

Oh, I've done that many times Deer Killer. It boggles your mind. Then you think, well if I do it over a couple years, it ain't that bad. Get to enjoy each little baby step a little more then. :)

The problem is with that, u take a few years to get all the KIT u want in it and 12 months later, u sell it for the next upgrade...........
Just being a realist, sorry....

So what sort of reliable performance mods can be done to bring this car into the high 13's?

A good driver should be able to bring it into the high 13's. :)
